Hotel Kristal

It's an old hotel, but everything is very clean. The water in the pool is just the right temperature and salinity. The food for breakfast and dinner is very good and there's nothing better than eating on a beautiful terrace with views of the sea in all directions. The room also has a beautiful view of the sea and Rijeka. Especially in the evening. The entire staff is extremely friendly. The only downside is the parking lot. Opatija is really desperate with this. It's already hard to get a parking space on the street. We were lucky that the hotel parking lot wasn't full.

Really nice place, workers are always smiling and ready to help, room is really pretty, but it needs a little renovation, food is delicious, hotel is situated right above the sea, so morning view is amazing, hotel is near stores, cafes, playground, fitnes room is really good, pool is great, but is could use some renovation, hotel isn't the newest, but is really pretty!

My worst ever hotel experience. We where on a roadtrip holiday, and had booked this hotel because it had on site parking, i checked google maps to confirm, and even called the hotel in advance, to see if we had to make a reservation on parking, as we would arrive late in the evening, and we read that Opatija could be a bit bad with parking. They said "no problem, just come". We arrived at 21 in the evening, after a 700km drive from Munich, and when we arrived they had no available parking. There was a couple of spaces inside a gate beside the hotel, and we asked if we could park there, but no, that was for the employees, and i said that it would only be temprarly until the morning, so that we can sort out the parking issue, but no. They where not interested at all to help us, and only said that we had to find a space in the street. We ended up driving around the place for 1 1/2 hours, without finding a spot to park, went back in, and said that they need to come up with a solution, but no help, so it ended up with us turning around and driving back into italy, and found a hotel along the highway to get som sleep at 02 in the morning, after a total of 1000km driving that day. So my advice is : Just stay away from here.

Nice and very clean hotel, professional and very friendly staff, excellent food. The hotel has got a beautiful cafe and the view from the terrace is amazing. I was able to enjoy my three day stay completely.The beds are very confortable and there is more than enough space in the room.

We were the first guests of the hotel in the new season, so it is especially worth highlighting and praising the teamwork of the staff. The best part of this neat and clean hotel is definitely the staff. Friendly, cultured and polite. I hope that as guests we will repay them in the same way.
