Eden Hotel by Maistra Collection

Really good hotel, with clean rooms: we had the superior double room. The room overlooked the grounds of the hotel, which was good. Breakfast was excellent with so much option, lots of cold and warm items and lots of kind staff to help out. The breakfast can be chaotic with lots of people and sometimes queue. The onsite hotel restaurant, Oleander, was really good food, especially pizzas, with great staff! The hotel offers a gym, indoor pool as well as out which were all relaxing. Outside the hotel, you can also rent kayaks which is good fun. The walk to Old Town Rovinj is 20 minutes, which is nice as it is along the front. I recommend for families!

We received excellent service and friendly advice we had a medical emergency with my husband, staff were professional and kind in helping me etc The Tui rep Nina was amazing in helping us in our situation. The hotel is excellent We didn’t see very much because we couldn’t get out of the hotel due to circumstances but hotel area is lovely 😊⭐ 27/6/26

Most people would definitely enjoy their experience here, it’s the classic humongous resort with all the amenities and the private beach and so on. It is part of a large chain of hotels that took over the Istrian coast around Rovinj (stripping away the natural beauty of the landscape and the breathtaking view of the old town). Even though I would not pick this kind of holiday accomodation myself, I ended up here after a series of circumstances. Either way, what really threw me off was the hotel ‘sustainability policy’. Even though I’m fully aware a hotel stay is never the greener option, just like many other hotels Eden claims they commit to create less waste and less pollution for the environment. In the rooms they display many reminders of their green policies, asking the guests to hang the towels and re-use them during their stay. Nevertheless these get changed every day, implying liters and liters of water, bleach and detergent are being wasted every day (roughly 50 liters every 10 kg). To this add the beach towels the guest can borrow free-of-charge and exchange for new ones every day. I actively requested my towels not being changed until I left them on the floor, and after a day my request was completely ignored. This makes me think the sustainability part is really just a badge to give customers peace of mind while they contribute to more damage to the environment. Sad. Won’t repeat the mistake

This is a lovely hotel, we couldn’t fault it in anyway. Huge grounds set next to a national park where you can walk or cycle through the forest but be by the coast as well. You can walk into Rovinj about a 20min walk which is a lovely old town with lots of bars and restaurants. Swimming pools at hotel were amazing and the same depth all over, you can get towels at the pool. plenty of sun beds everywhere. We booked with TUI and it says on the info live entertainment but it’s only in the high season which starts on 15th June so we were disappointed in this. We did have entertainment on 2 nights. Also it says and we had a text that the TUI rep doesn’t visit the hotel and she says she has been visiting the hotel for the last 5 years! At weekends it gets busy in the area as the general public can come but they aren’t supposed to use the Sun beds that belong to hotel. A nice beach bar , the beach is pebbles . Everywhere very clean.

Very nice hotel set in trees along with other hotels. Pool is in the complex, towels provided. Beach is stony but only a couple of minutes walk away. We were on floor 6, top floor, very quiet. Pillows and beds comfortable. Walk in shower, toiletries provided. Food very well cooked, good variety at breakfast and evening meals. Variety for vegetarians too. Plates were always hot so kept the food warm. Plenty of tables, my only thought would be to have more tables for two people and if needed people could push together if in a group. Didn’t seem to be enough tables for couples. Not sure if evening entertainment, a stage and tables downstairs on ground level but don’t see anything. There was random entertainment down at the à la carte Oleander restaurant. About 25 mins walk to the old town so not far. Plenty of bikes to hire, good walks and rides around the nature park in opposite direction. Reception staff not happy, very abrupt, however all other staff all seem pleasant. Cleaning staff always spoke in the morning. Restaurant staff very efficient in clearing and cleaning the tables however had to wait a while for drink orders.
