We booked this hotel last minute for our first trip to Croatia with our 17 year old son. We knew the hotel would be very family orientated but the residence apartments provided a suitable base for our sightseeing and the space we needed. Wouldnt choose this hotel again but only because we aren't the hotels demographic, not because there's anything wrong with the hotel. Would choose to stay with Valamar again and would definitely return to Croatia. For families with younger children it seemed an excellent option. The hotel was newly refurbished, bright and modern. Our 2+2 apartment was clean,quiet, and spacious. They appear cleverly set out so as not to be disturbed by neighbours. It's a short walk to the hotel but we quickly got used to it and preferred being away from the hustle and bustle. The restaurant and half board food options were good, staff constantly clearing tables and replenishing food. For us it was often too busy so we chose to eat out several nights. The pool area is attractive and large with something for all ages with lots of beds and umbrellas. We often visited from mid afternoon and whilst a challenge, we generally managed to find beds. The Oliva grill and pool bar were nice facilities though its a shame the grill shut at 6pm. We would have happily eaten there in an evening paying the extra cost to escape the dining room for a change. It is a short walk to the grounds to the sea where there are watersports and a 20/25 minute walk to Porec though there is also a tourist train that helps. Lots of car parking for those arriving by car. The childrens areas all seemed great and had our son been younger, he would have loved them. Didnt see any kids clubs or pool activities while we were there though. Staff were all friendly, hardworking and helpful. Areas for improvement: - Somewhere to sit and relax in an evening in the hotel that isn't an indoor playground. - more variety at breakfast/brunch rather than the same every single day. - more drinks stations and a better drinks solution in an evening as it causes too much queuing. Soft drink/water dispensers should also be available in an evening rather than paid for. - reserving of sunbeds needs to be tackled, posters saying not to reserve dont work as beds are reserved from early morning. - car parking should be free for hotel guests.

We had a wonderful holiday in Poreč at the Valamar hotel! Everything was of the highest standard. The premises are fully renovated, modern, and impeccably clean, creating a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere from the very first moment. The service was flawless, the staff were friendly and attentive to every detail, and the available facilities exceeded all expectations. We will certainly return with great pleasure and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in Croatia!

We loved our stay at Sunny Porec! The room was super cute, cosy and clean. The workout set is also such a great addition (yoga mats, resistance bands and ladders), and the staff was very pleasant. The kids loved all the playgrounds, kid pools and the biggest win seemed to be the drawing on the sidewalk which made them play every time we went to and from the hotel. The food is also really good, and given that I have a number of intolerances, the staff was very helpful at finding meals that I can eat. An amazing experience and would definitely recommend to families

Sunny Poreč hotel is located about three minutes from Brulo beach, which is connected to Porec harbour via long beautiful walk. You can walk, ride your bike or take the tourist train to town. Since last year the hotel made some real improvements. It’s got newly renovated rooms, the hotel lobby is better equipped with children’s games (not only video games lounge) and it even has a huge tobbogan that goes beside the restaurant down to the lobby, so your kids can play between the bites. The pool with aquapark is next level. However, they need to bring back pancakes and cokolino for breakfast. All in all, for the price of stay, I don’t think it gets better than this in Croatia. I hope we’ll be able to come back next summer.
