Valamar Parentino Hotel

Arrived today to a most welcoming atmosphere. Hotel is spotless and has a great pool area. Looking forward to a great week ahead.

Located close to the beach and easily walkable to Porec. Facilities for all ages. Enjoyed fitness classes and bike tour to caves. Comfortable suite for 4 adults and one year old.

Excellent hotel, would highly recommend. All the staff are very friendly and professional. Emma on the concierge desk has been excellent and went out of her way to get me tickets for the football. Honestly the girl should get a pay rise. Hotel is ideally situated to roam the area if you hire a car, but there is plenty for families to do in the hotel complex and on the beach a short stroll away.

I’m sad to give the hotel such a bad score as it is a good hotel, great food, nice pool area and copious amounts of sunbeds. Location is great and staff are friendly. My issue is that my family do not feel safe in our room. We have now had three occasions where hotel staff simply let themselves into our room at various times of the day and NOT our lovely room attendant. Yesterday supposed maintenance staff tried entering our room twice, both time my wife’s and children were present and getting changed. The men entering the room did not knock and simply walked in. When challenged they left without an explanation. We visited reception to complain that a man had on two occasions entered the room. Our concerns grew in that reception confirm they had no idea why they were trying to gain entry and the system showed no issues. We were promised a manager who then didn’t show up. We were promised another manager who didn’t show up and then finally another after breakfast who wasn’t there again. I’m very concerned as I write this that nobody seems to care as to why two men were trying to gain access and our children were unclothes. I now cannot leave them in the room as they are scared. I’m more concerned that nobody knows why they were there and twice! They were also trying to get in neighbouring rooms. This is a lovely hotel but we sadly don’t feel safe.
