Valamar Riviera Hotel & Villa Parentino

Good location. Ivan was great. Fridge was cold. Air conditioner could have been colder. One staffer was not as hospitable.

Faultless … beautiful town to explore, free short ferry to the opposite hotel where you can relax on sand or shingle beaches. Best snorkeling ever there with cheap kit brought from home. Did a local Rovinj - Lim Fjord boat excursion for under 40 Euros each. That town was also lush and then swimming in a private cove off the boat was amazing. The hotel is super efficient, clean and friendly. Perfectly located. Breakfast is the best I’ve experienced so much quality choice. An iron was quickly brought to my room when requested. Powerful shower plenty of room storage. Good aircon and nice sea view. Eating out we used Tunaholic which did reasonably priced and satisfying tasty street fish food. Central Restaurant and Marconi did nice local food and had decent locations. The latter does certain meals and drinks on permanent happy hour, I don’t think youd best their 3Euros large local draught lager 4E house wine or 5Euros Aperol/Campari Spritz. Ice cream parlours are everywhere and as a result the going rate is about 2E50 for a one scoop cone. Plenty of interesting flavours and most home made. My top tips would be to make use of the local Spar which is super cheap compared to everywhere else. Also bear in mind the pickup and drop off is at the main car park about 5 mins from the hotel (hotel runs a very effective free shuttle).

Never Go Again. Staff: Abrupt. I had to ask the bar manager 3 times in succession to change our glasses. Cracks, chips or dirty! She was annoyed and slammed the last ones on the table. Rooms: Supposed to have tea & coffee - never stocked, had to ask every day for coffee and milk. Shower was in the bath, however, the bath was very deep and no hand rail so getting in and out was hazardous. No bath mats so very slippy also. Shower gel & soap was very difficult to use and you could only get a very small amount from the dispensers. Beakfast: Poor and unimaginative. Fruit section was 2 different types of Melon or grapefruit. I witnessed a young Mum upset as she complained to the receptionist about her stay and when she left, the receptionist thought it was amusing. This hotel has sadly deteriorated in quality and value for money. Truly awful experience.

Had an amazing stay here! Rooms feel cozy and comfortable. We loved the brunch option and the view from the terrace is great. Service is excellent, friendly staff made our stay memorable.
