Valamar Riviera Hotel & Villa Parentino

Smart 4* hotel, clean well appointed for marina and old town. Staff very professional never intrusive, but there for you. Good quality beds, and shower room even had small fridge and kettle. Tv not much use as advertises Hotel group and local tv only. Hotel has plenty of ‘green’ options, recycling, towel use etc. The buffet breakfast is one of the best! even a charcuterie style deli bar- never seen one with so much choice- whole area kept spotless, would recommend this hotel for adults & couples, if returning to Porec I’d stay again.

Did not start well, our Jet2 coach arrived at the car park check in cabin about 10pm.It was closed (it also was on our return about 5pm so I do not know if it ever opens). No hotel taxi, just a number to ring. Fortunately the coach driver stayed with us, made several phone calls in Croatian and after what seemed ages a taxi arrived. Actual hotel reception was efficient, the superior room was exactly what we wanted with balcony and beautiful sea view. Breakfast was excellent, all staff efficient and very friendly. I do not like air conditioning and prefer to sleep with fresh sea air through the balcony door. Unfortunately there is a loud refuse truck every 6.30 am and late on Friday and Saturday there was still a lot of noise from cafes and restaurants. Not a problem if you keep the door closed at these times! The hotel location is excellent, plenty of restaurants nearby, the Venice ferry leaves virtually directly in front and a walk round the marina will get you to the Noddy train which runs to Zelena Laguna. I am in my late 70s but the casual return walk with a coffee at Plava Laguna and a long lunch nearer Porec gets you back to the hotel in nice time for a cup of tea on the balcony before going out for an Aperol Spitz. Very enjoyable, would definitely stay at this hotel again. Younger people with children would prefer the many larger hotels with pools and facilities.

Perfect location, rooms very clean, beautiful sea view, value for money, we went there for New Year, perfect break a way hollyday, very friendly staff, excellent food

We stayed in the Villa Nicolette and had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the picturesque seafront. The hotel has a very good breakfast, lots of freshly prepared options and well managed restaurant area. We used the free ferry service to go to the sister resort on Isabella Island, just a 2 minute ride. This is where the lovely beach is. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Would recommend

We have recently returned from spending a week at the Riviera Hotel in the beautiful town of Porec. The hotel has an excellent location overlooking the harbour and it is only a couple of minutes away from the old town of Porec. The room was well appointed and the hotel was of a very high standard. The dining room was inviting and there was a very good choice of food at both breakfast and brunch and we enjoyed the aperitif hour which was very popular with many of the guests. The staff at the hotel were all helpful and courteous, Ivan made us feel very welcome when we arrived and throughout our stay, Ana greeted us every morning with a smile and Danijela served the Prosecco with a smile. We came to Porec to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have chosen a nicer place or a better hotel. Thank you.
