Yoga with Maruska ist very good and Gentleman.

The yoga classes were real relaxing and well lead!

There is no way this hotel is a 4 star. The rooms are beyond basic, we had a broken bed in one of our rooms. The view from the room horrific, food the same every day lunch and dinner. Strange hotel rules that we’ve not come across even in a 5 star! Our first trip to Croatia and we would 100% visit again as it’s so beautiful! Just not this hotel.

Many experiences require a suspension of great expectations, where all you can do is hope for the best but expect the worst, but here my expectations were subverted. Valamar Tamaris left a deep impression, and a yearning to return when the next opportunity presents itself. From the sandy beaches to the serenity of the see, the warm staff and kind locals, you cannot help but feel like you've entered a special place. The rooms appear to be a luck-of-the-draw kind of deal, with outdated interior, and on occasion you'd like to have AC or a fan, but they were clean and clean towels were provided upon entry. The beaches were clean, with different choices available from gravel, sand or stone. The location is close enough to Trieste where you cold comfortably drive there in about an hour or two, depending on the traffic, should you be the type of person that likes to go site seeing, however you may very well opt out of such experiences if comfort and relaxation is all you are looking for. With notable spots like the Relax Pool. where as the name would imply relaxation is plentiful, or the Activity Pool Bar, with the cold and refreshing beverages provided by it's warm and helpful staff, staying there flees like a temptation you need to try to resist, less you rob yourself of what other spots the resort can offer. The food will leave you wanting for nothing, with plenty of choices to satisfy anyone's dietary wants and needs, and a well balanced spread of meals throughout the entire day, meaning at no point do you have to hold yourself back and wait for the next meal to "be ready".

Excellent experience. Croatia is unique. Valamar has great rooms and superb water pressure. Meal times can be busy but just get your timings right. Good gym and access to the sea. Scenic bike rides through the forests.
