Albatros Makadi Club

What amazing family holiday for 2 weeks from start to finish, first time in we have ever done Egypt and it defo will not be the last time. We picked the Albatros Makadi resort because how space out and big it was and lots of choice for pool and everything this hotel had to offer was best for us as a family and our 10 year old daughter. The hotel was always clean and I have never met staff work and be so friendly as this hotel, the staff could not do more for you, they always there to help you out and make our holiday amazing. Food was amazing no issues finding anything to eat for ourself or our daughter who is very fussy with food. Can eat in different restaurants and take food from each one, we had food at the steak à la carte and was great, breakfast we good, lunch and dinner so much choice of food it’s unreal, food was great. Staff in restaurants again amazing, always helpful and would get you food if you asked for something that was not there like my daughter really wanted some chicken nuggets and they made them for her. We mainly used the Italian and Asian in evening as the food was so good and lots of different choices for us and our daughter. Waiters would know your drinks and bring them to your table. Entertainment team was amazing, lots of different activities in day foam party’s, darts, fitness classes, in and out of pool, volleyball, fruit festival, carnival and much more, and evening shows where really good as well dance show, face painting, mini disco (different song which is good as sometime you get the same songs all the time) and show we never seen in any hotel we been to, the entertainment staff all so friendly and welcoming, came and see us every day without fail and making sure we was ok. The entertainment team made our holiday, Kids club was good as well, staff was great with our daughter. Lots of different activities they can get involved in, VR room my daughter loved and it’s free. Waterpark really good slide where great fun for all the family, evening foam party as well over in the aqua park which we loved. Swimming pools- we always found a sun bed, 9am still loads of sun bed, life guards around the pools amazing would help with sunbed in morning, always come over and catch with us, so friendly. They were great with the kids as well got involved in foam party as well making sure everyone was ok. Bar staff would come and ask what drinks you wanted around the pool as well, if you went to go get a drink they would not let you carry them and bring them over to sun bed, as well in evening they would come over and take drinks orders. Rooms were great size nice and space and clean and housekeeping was on the ball, room clean every day, water and pop filled everyday,. Guest relations would come round and check everything was ok by the pool, really helpful. Pier go swimming and look at the all the fish, in the morning we seen turtle and it’s a great experience to see all the fish and coral, I was so happy to got to swim with turtle and see them in wild. Lifeguard at the pier keep an eye on you and make sure your save. The staff at the this hotel need a raise they work so hard from morning to evening, they are all so friendly and helpful. We done a dolphin cove through the hotel amazing food was great, we got to see dolphins in the wild and swim with them, staff on boats was amazing making sure we seen dolphins, it was a full day, we had a good price for it as well, and would do it again for sure. Be careful when walking around the spool area as some times the tile can be slippery, just be mindful when walking around the pool, lifeguard do there best to make sure it’s not but sometime you can’t tell till you slip. Ice cream in the day is only at aqua park which I think they should have over in beach bar as well in day time, you can get ice cream in evening as well by the restaurants which was great. It is a big hotel so you will get your steps in ha ha ha. Internet is not great don’t expect to have great internet, some days we did not have it, would cut in and out all the time, hotel was trying to sort it to make it better. Wanted to thank all the amazing staff at the hotel for making our holiday you all work so hard and are a credit to the hotel never seen so many staff work so hard every signal one of the staff, we are already looking to come back to the hotel, as we had the best time.

Great hotel with friendly staff, clean rooms, and a lovely beach. The food was varied and the entertainment was enjoyable. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended

The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and offers excellent facilities for guests of all ages. The rooms were comfortable, the food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. A special thank goes to the Animation Team, who made our holiday truly unforgettable. always encouraged guests to join the daily activities without being pushy. Their positive attitude created a fun and welcoming atmosphere throughout the resort. One of the highlights of our stay was the Beer Pong and Agua Gym activity. It was incredibly entertaining and brought guests together for lots of laughs and friendly competition. The animation team organized it perfectly, making sure everyone had a great time regardless of their skill level. We also enjoyed the other activities they offered during the day and evening, which kept the resort lively and exciting. The evening shows and entertainment were excellent, and the animation team worked hard every day to ensure guests were having fun from morning until night. Overall, we highly recommend Albatros Makadi Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Egypt. Outstanding Experience at Albatros Makadi Resort We had an exceptional stay at Albatros Makadi Resort during our business trip, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. The resort is beautifully maintained, with stunning landscapes, excellent facilities, and a relaxing atmosphere that perfectly combines comfort and luxury. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable after long working days. What truly made our stay memorable was the outstanding hospitality of the staff. Every team member was professional, friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests were comfortable and satisfied. Their warm welcome and genuine care created a wonderful experience from check-in to departure. The variety of activities available is impressive. Whether you want to relax by the pools, enjoy the beach, participate in sports activities, or simply unwind, there is something for everyone. The entertainment and recreational options are organized exceptionally well. The food and service throughout the resort were excellent, offering a wide selection of high-quality meals and beverages that catered to different tastes. As business travelers, we particularly appreciated the smooth organization, efficient service, and peaceful environment that allowed us to balance work commitments with relaxation. Good hotel with great food, but disappointing spa experience Overall, we had a good stay and enjoyed our holiday. The hotel has plenty of pools, lots of activities and a good atmosphere throughout. The food was one of the highlights. There was always plenty of choice, and the Steakhouse and Asian restaurant were our favourites. One small suggestion would be to offer the kebab meat separately rather than only in sandwiches. It would be more accommodating for fussier eaters who don’t want bread or sauces and would probably be quicker and more efficient for staff too (often unnecessary queues). The lagoon was lovely and refreshing, and the bikes and swan pedalos were a fun addition. The poolside waiters also deserve a mention as they were friendly, attentive and worked incredibly hard. The biggest disappointment was the spa. The information sheet provided at reception check-in states that the sauna, steam room and hammam are chargeable. Naturally, this leads you to believe that the indoor pool is included for hotel guests. However, when we went to use it, we were told it would cost €20 per person for just one hour. This felt misleading and poor value for money. Many hotels provide complimentary access to indoor pools, especially as they offer guests somewhere to swim out of direct sunlight. When we raised our concerns, nobody seemed particularly interested, which only added to the frustration. It’s a shame because the hotel itself is very good, and we enjoyed most aspects of our stay. However, the spa experience left the impression that there is a strong focus on generating additional revenue rather than providing a great guest experience. With clearer communication and a more guest-friendly approach to the indoor pool, this would have been a much stronger overall experience.
