We stayed at the Beach Albatros Resort in Hurghada for around a week; however, the experience was disappointing, especially considering it is a 5-star resort and this all-inclusive stay wasn't exactly cheap. The first disappointment was the endless construction work that plagued the hotel. We wish we had known about this before booking, but unfortunately, the hotel failed to disclose this information on their website or social media. The biggest problem with the renovation was its scale. Everywhere we turned, construction was going on. This meant constant loud noise, a smell of gasoline from construction tools, dusty air, and at times, difficulty walking around the equipment, sand, and concrete. This didn't affect just one part of the hotel; every attraction was impacted by construction. The main issue was the water slides, which were the primary reason we decided to visit the resort. The biggest slide could not be used, while the others could only be used while workers around us caused a commotion and reduced the air quality. While a healthy adult might not care as much, my partner suffers from hypersensitivity, which made it impossible for her to enjoy this €3,000+ holiday. The renovation was also near the sea. Imagine wanting to relax by the ocean, only to hear constant grinding noises. Even near the restaurant, there was constant loud noise and dust pollution. This leads to the second problem: the food. The food wasn't that bad—it tasted fine, even if some dishes were too oily or overly spiced. However, the issue was that we immediately got food poisoning and suffered from diarrhea and severe bellyaches for over three days. We spent half of our holiday taking Antinal just to feel better. When we went to the pharmacy, we found out that plenty of other guests had the exact same issue. I am not sure what was wrong with the food, but many guests informed us that they experienced the same problem and spent a good portion of their holiday in the bathroom. We didn't eat anything outside of the resort, so we don't believe this is a good look for a 5-star hotel. The last problem we had was with the reception and the staff. I don't want to blame the workers too much, as they are likely overworked and underpaid. However, most of the staff members were incredibly rude. Even when we asked simple questions, we were usually answered condescendingly or straight-up rudely. Once, I asked at reception where the transfer shuttle was located. They told me it was at one of their restaurants called "Culina." This confused me because there was no road there, so I asked, "Is it beyond the restaurant Culina?" Instead of clarifying, the man at reception simply repeated that it was at Culina. When I asked again where exactly it was, he said: "Hello, hello, hello, are you awake, Sir? Do you understand me? It's right behind the restaurant." Even if it took me a moment to understand, I don't believe it is fair to treat customers this way. I understand it can be hard to remain patient, but this was just one of many examples of staff being incredibly rude—almost as if they didn't want tourists there. Asking a question will likely result in an unpleasant interaction that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. To make matters worse, many of the workers barely speak English and cannot answer basic questions. To be fair, the experience wasn't completely terrible. When we complained about the renovation, they offered us free shuttle trips to the Pickalbatros Aqua Park Resort. That was nice, but we still spent a lot of time travelling between the two hotels. Furthermore, security and workers often stopped us, saying we weren't allowed there until we explained our situation. In addition, the Aqua Park's water pressure was incredibly low, so you would frequently get stuck in a slide for a few seconds. Once, I even hit another guest because the lifeguard didn't account for this slowdown. When asked about it, the lifeguards claimed they weren't aware of the issue—which doesn't seem possible, as it affected the entire holiday. However, since this is a review of the Beach Resort, I won't dwell on that too much. Considering the cost, I would not recommend this resort due to the constant renovations, terrible customer service, and food poisoning. There are much cheaper and better hotels available.

An average stay, unfortunately not what we had hoped for. The biggest disappointment was the food. We were travelling with our son, who has food allergies, and when we asked staff about ingredients, they often couldn't provide clear or reliable information. This was quite concerning, as we need to be able to trust the information we're given when it comes to his allergies. The drinks were disappointing as well. Another thing that really surprised us was what happened during the children's show. We witnessed staff members arguing with each other while wearing mascot costumes in front of the children. This was not a nice thing to see, especially during entertainment that should be fun and enjoyable for the little ones. Overall, the resort was average, but the food, drinks and some aspects of the service let it down. Unfortunately, we wouldn't return.

Absolutely incredible animation team and they did so well in making the family feel comfortable. From the first day they were so welcoming and always had such great entertainment. The team were very enthusiastic and never failed for us to have a laugh! A bit shoutout to one of the team members. Have forgotten his name but he was amazing 🩷
