DoubleTree by Hilton Mangroovy El Gouna Resort

I had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Mangroovy El Gouna! The resort is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff are welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. The overall experience was excellent, and I truly enjoyed my time there. A special thank you to Arwa for her outstanding hospitality, professionalism, and kindness. She went above and beyond to make the experience memorable and made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.

The DoubleTree by Hilton El Gouna Mangroovy Tree is a fantastic place to stay, offering modern amenities, beautiful surroundings, and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. A special highlight of our experience was Fares, an outstanding waiter whose exceptional service, friendliness, and attention to detail truly made our stay unforgettable.

We recently stayed at the DoubleTree and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From top to bottom, the hotel was exceptionally clean, tidy, and beautifully maintained. Beyond the wonderful facilities, what truly made our trip was the incredible warmth and hospitality of the team. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely friendly and welcoming. We would especially like to recognize a few key team members who went above and beyond for us: * Tarek (Housekeeping): Tarek took care of our room all week and did an absolute phenomenal job. Everything was always spotless and his warm, friendly greetings every day made us feel right at home. * Muhammad (Social Creatures Bar/Restaurant): Muhammad brought so much genuine hospitality to our evenings. He kept us fully refreshed with amazing cocktails and delicious coffees, and even took the time to teach us Egyptian dominoes which was a highlight of our trip! * Thomas (Pool Service): Thomas looked after us around the pool and was always attentive.Throughout the day, he constantly checked in to take our orders and ensure we had fresh drinks in hand without us having to lift a finger. * Mahmoud Elbasiony (Pastry Chef): Traveling abroad with a nut allergy can often be stressful, but Chef Mahmoud put all our worries to rest. He was so thorough and attentive in explaining what was safe to eat. Whenever there wasn't a nut-free dessert available, he would go back to the kitchen to fetch nut-free chocolate and prepare a custom bowl for my partner. To top it off, he even made us chocolate bars to bring back home to our family which was very thoughtful. * Ahmed Assem (Night Manager): When we first arrived, we ran into an issue with our room booking (due to our booking provider, not the hotel). Ahmed immediately stepped in and was very professional and made sure we got the room type we booked. He truly saved the start of our holiday, and throughout the rest of our stay, we felt like we could go to him for anymore questions we had. Overall, every single member of the team at DoubleTree Mangroovy helped make our holiday extra special. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting El Gouna.

Stayed at this hotel 12-19th October. Initial impressions were that this is a nice hotel however we booked two connecting rooms for myself, husband and daughter but were provided with one room with three beds in it. We complained immediately but the staff at reception were less than helpful. Eventually we had to pay £1200 to upgrade to a suite. The suite was nice, the air conditioning was excellent and the beds were comfortable but that’s really where the comfort ends. The pool is freezing and the flies are just horrific. Feel like we spent all day flicking them away and it made relaxing almost impossible. The food was mediocre. It looks nice, but lacks flavour and variety. Some of the waiting staff were nice but the rest of the staff seemed totally unhelpful and uninterested unless you were spending money. All in all a disappointing stay at this hotel which did not live up to other reviews. Won’t be back.

Tekst We had an amazing holiday! The hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the rooms were very clean, tidy, and well maintained. The only downside was the lack of facilities at the private beach. There were no toilets and no proper restaurant, just a food truck with a limited selection of food. The local alcoholic drinks were also not really worth recommending. Despite these minor drawbacks, we had a wonderful holiday and really enjoyed our stay. Overall, a beautiful hotel and a great experience!
