Thomas and Mohamed at the pool bar have done such a good job over our stay and constantly making exalent drinks!!

Just got back last night from staying one week at this hotel. To look at the hotel looks stunning a 10 out of 10. I'm a bit of a fussy eater and struggled to find something to eat most days. I look forward to going on holiday to having a full English breakfast and I didn't find that here. The beach area needs to be developed more a make shift bar and food truck are basic and don't look good. When ordered food at beach it just attracted so many fly's I had to eat my lunch under a beach towel to stop them getting at my food. If you look at the Hilton doubletree Soical pages it comes across so peaceful, chilled and tranquil. Well if your sitting around the pool bar pool then it's NOT it's like being in a rave in Ibiza. Music is so loud that I could hear it over my podcast that I was listening too through my headphones. I will add I didn't go to the other pool as it wasn't by my room but people were saying they couldn't get sunbeds there but it is quieter apparently. Come dinner time all I say is get down and seated outside the food hall around 6:30 for it to be open at 7. It becomes busy and not many seats, so many people looking around for somewhere to eat their dinner. Once you've eaten dinner around 8 they do have live singers down the bottom but there is only a few seats with no bar. You have to go back up to the restaurant bar. I think personally they need an area where there is enough seating to watch the live singers because most of the time we sat at our dinner table and watched from above but then you feel rude because there are still people looking for somewhere to seat to eat. There is a roof top bar with very little seats around 20, again you struggle to get a seat. Once again I will add the hotel looked amazing and it was very clean and the staff were friendly but I wouldn't rate it a 5 star until they sort out the evening seating arrangements.

We enjoyed two weeks here and have just returned (14 - 29 September). Room 2108. Fabulous staff and a super modern hotel, with a beautiful beach - all helped make our stay very memorable and enjoyable. Staff who we must mention … Mohamed, the beach waiter, was really amazing. Looked after us super well. Always efficient and friendly and was great at suggesting things… food, drinks, excursions, and even made a medicinal tea when I was unwell. 5 Star ⭐️ . Thankyou so much. Mohamed - the beach / towel / sunbed sorter - was always there to help and with a smile. Thankyou. Khalid - Kitchen Restaurant waiter - one of the nicest natured young men we’ve ever been served by. Calm, smiling, friendly and respectful. Kind and thoughtful. A credit to the hotel. Thankyou very much. Mahmoud at Kitchen was very friendly and helpful too. Thankyou. Haya - guest relations - Thankyou for your help and kindness. Much appreciated. Adel - pool bar manager - friendly and fun and gave us ice buckets for cold beers. He went the extra mile! Hassan - lifeguard - always friendly and fun, whenever we changed towels and passed by him. Omar - at Social Creatures - ran the bar with professionalism second to none and created some great cocktails. Ramadan was our room cleaner and did a great job. We appreciated his room decorations too. Thankyou to all the above - and many others besides. Egyptian hospitality is truly wonderful. We were initially disappointed to find that we were not able to enjoy the plunge pool near us (we paid extra with EasyJet for a plunge pool view) but soon decided the beach was beautiful and definitely our little piece of paradise. Loved the beanbags, as well as the sunbeds, brollies and table / bin provided at each space, too. Much better than the pool areas - which are a bit more crowded. The sea was clear, warm, shallow and we enjoyed the views and various walks from there. Wall to wall sunshine helped! Great weather for two whole weeks. Food was good and plentiful. The Kitchen buffet was sometimes busy, but had a varied choice of foods, and the menu changes daily. We enjoyed the à la carte restaurant twice. A pleasant change from the busy buffet restaurant. The lady who managed this restaurant was really lovely and the atmosphere was chilled / rather romantic outdoors, with low level lighting. We loved the artwork around the hotel. Comfy seating. Lights. Coffee shop. Library area. Waterfall. Etc - some great aesthetics. Our room had everything we needed. Decent mirrors, lights, sockets and chargers etc. and a huge, comfy bed. The sunset views from our balcony were amazing too. Top floor gave us a glimpse of mountains in the distance. El Gouna offers plenty - a fascinating place, all in all… take a tuk tuk to Downtown for shops and bars. LE 50 (70p English) for a trip - from outside the hotel. Marinas with bars and restaurants too. Fabulous yachts galore. Safe to walk / be outside the hotel, with a ‘no hassle’ policy. We booked a private boat trip for two, around the lagoons and marinas, for £70, booked through Shams (her desk is beside the cash machine in the lobby) at sunset, which was lovely. No complaints - however suggestions for improvement: we had no idea if there was any activities … someone mentioned yoga, and we passed music on the patio some evenings taking place, so a central info board would be useful. Another à la carte restaurant would be great too - as you had to book well ahead, due to popularity. If possible, although not sure how, more space to get sun / shade choices around pools would be great. There are building works underway for another block, near to the sea, and we understand that there will be further improvements to the beach in the future too. This will be interesting to see, when completed. To sum up, we had a wonderful two weeks holiday at Hilton Mangroovy. Thankyou very much to everyone there!

Beautiful hotel clean and spacious had some lovely photos lifeguards are fab,staff great. Special shout out to hussain lifeguard always had a smile on his face and always up for a chat!! Rooms lovely and spacious,Room cleaner Ahmed was fab did a good job on our room 1077 ! Now for some negative 😬 not enough sunbeds for guests especially in the sun! People were putting towels out early so second day in we joined them but were always out for 8 some u didnt see till after lunch whuch is wrong. Not enough room or food choice in the 7pm restaurant we ate in there once and could not get a seat! Went to reception and they took us to the restaurant manager he was very helpful got us a seat. Other nights we went to the marina to eat lots of choices out there,tuc tucs were fab and cheap to get u too and from the marina 1 guy that took us dont know his name was lovely and very chatty even stopped to take a photo of us in some lovely scenery 🙂 Beach not too far away was also lovely a short 5ish min walk past the building works hilton have their own beach plot with a food cart and drink area. 2 latge pool areas 1 quieter other loud music we were mainly around the quiet but did venture to the louder 1 for something different 🤪 im not sure if i would recommend this hotel with the few faults if non of this bothers you then maybe its a stay for you but dont think we will be back 😔

Amazing stay, everyone did more than they could to have our stay as amazing as it was. Front desk team were very accommodating and helpful. Food was great, everything we could think of was available. I want to thank everyone in the restaurant for their amazing service and wonderful spirit.
