Hilton Plaza Hurghada

Lovely hotel, lovely location and staff. Arrived very late at night got given free room up grade, room was very comfortable and spacious. Spent most of the time at beach, crystal clear water, beach bar and food, most of daytime entertainment happens here, beach showers and toilets too. My husband likes to partake in activities and meet warm friend people from different nationalities. Did a boat trip which was on the site marina, no queuing or transport. Staff are all fabulous friendly and treat everyone the same. Our house keeper was outstanding and needs a big shout out, Amr Dahy you worked hard, our room was spotless, well stocked and the towel art simply amazing. Good location, clean hotel but the staff make it with their professionalism, had a lovely relaxing holiday. Staff work, so a tip to show good service and appreciation goes a long way.

We had a really nice stay at Hilton Plaza. The hotel have a beautiful and well-kept and territory, and the sea is amazing, clear water, a lovely beach and a relaxing atmosphere. The animation team was also a great part of our stay. There are different activities during the day, such as stretching, voleyball, darts and aqua gym. Evrth was well organized and enjoyable. A special thanks to Ilona from the ani.agion team. She was very friendly, energetic and always made the activities fun and welcoming. Overall, we enjoyed tge atmosphere, the beautiful sea and the activities. It was a lovely holiday and we would definitely recommend the hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

My Fiancé and myself are here now , we leave tomorrow. This hotel is outstanding value for money. From the minute we arrived to right now we have been looked after by some amazing staff. Mo Salah serving us drinks at the beach bar 🍸 and all other staff amazing. Our outstanding favourite person here is without doubt Jamal our room cleaner. Not only is Jamal amazing he cares and he thinks of everything. We will be checking out tomorrow and we already looking to come back. Fantastic time even the boat trips are straight outside. Very disappointing experience with Hilton Hurghada Plaza. Before booking, I contacted the hotel specifically to confirm whether two adult male friends, one British and one Egyptian, could share a twin room with separate beds. Alaa Hamed, Duty Manager at Hilton Hurghada Plaza, informed me in writing that, “in accordance to Egyptian law and hotel policy”, an Egyptian national is not permitted to share a room with a foreign national without the required legal documents. This was particularly concerning because we are two male friends. We are not a couple and there is no romantic relationship. I am aware of documentation requirements that can arise in Egypt in relation to Egyptian nationals sharing accommodation with an opposite sex foreign partner, but the hotel has applied a nationality-based restriction to two male friends. I asked Hilton to identify the exact Egyptian law, regulation or legal provision that prevents an Egyptian man from sharing a twin room with a foreign male friend. At the time of writing, I have not been provided with that legislation. If this is genuinely required by Egyptian law, Hilton should be able to identify the relevant law. If it is instead Hilton Hurghada Plaza's own policy, the hotel should say so rather than presenting it as a legal requirement. The practical consequence appears to be that two foreign male friends can share a twin room, while an Egyptian man and a foreign man cannot. I find that distinction extremely concerning. International travellers visiting Egyptian friends should establish the hotel's policy in writing before booking. Based on my experience and the information provided by the Duty Manager, I would not choose Hilton Hurghada Plaza.
