We stayed at Jaz Bluemarine for two weeks and honestly, this holiday was exceptional. Everything we did, ate and everyone we interacted with was genuinely very, very good. Before travelling, I had read plenty of reviews, so I went in prepared and now having visited myself, I wanted to share my honest thoughts. Food: Absolutely no issues whatsoever. I’m a huge foodie (my fiancée, not so much!), so I always set my expectations based on where I’m travelling. When visiting Egypt, I already have a good understanding of the produce, cooking styles and what’s generally offered. With that in mind, the food here was very, very good and we were more than satisfied considering what we paid for the holiday. A special mention regarding allergies too. My fiancée has a life-threatening allergy to fish and crustaceans, yet we still travel the world and eat out regularly. The hotel handled this superbly. Every mealtime, wherever we chose to dine, either the head chef or sous chef would personally walk us through the menu and discuss safe options with us. Professional, reassuring and always done with great spirit and kindness. We genuinely appreciated the effort. Sellers around the pool/beach: Yes — I had read the reviews beforehand, so I knew what to expect. Sure, they come around and try to sell excursions/spa treatments etc., but honestly, a polite but firm “no thank you” and they leave you alone. It really wasn’t an issue for us. Weather: Dry heat, lows around 27°C and highs around 36°C… say no more! ☀️ Room: Spacious, clean and more than acceptable for what we paid. No complaints at all. Staff: Extremely helpful, friendly and always happy. The staff genuinely made the holiday special. Huge shoutouts to: Mohamed Kamel and the restaurant manager (Mokobal, I think?) Walid and the entertainment team Guest Relations Jennifer Ibrahim at the Island Bar during the day and Nogoum Bar at night Moamen cleaning around the Island Bar Every single one of you was superb, and thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. PS: I proposed to my partner during this trip… and she said YES! 💍❤️ A massive thank you to everyone who helped organise the surprises at the hotel — you helped create memories we’ll never forget. PPS: A MUST DO — visit Mahmya Island 🏝️

Sadly the hotel just doesn’t get the smaller details right. Trying to rest by the relax pool and they decide to cut the grass at 11am.. not so relaxing at all. A wave of sellers trying to flog you safari trips and massages 3/4 times a day every day is also tiresome. Room keys constantly not working ( 7/8 times during the week ) The room its self was spacious clean ( don’t waste your money upgrading to a deluxe room like I did ) but had no view really and small balcony. The food sadly was a bit bland and samey. Also the Kiwi ‘positive juice’ I had made me feel extremely unwell and caused sickness so not very positive at all! The staff are friendly and there are a great choice of pools and bars on a positive. All in all just didn’t hit the heights I’d expected
