Menaville Safaga

A very good 4-star hotel. Low-rise buildings, a beautiful and well-kept garden full of flowers, a wonderful 700-meter-long beach, good food, friendly service, and excellent professional massages. No noisy water parks. Rooms are in single-story or two-story cottages – the best are those in the first line by the sea. The only serious drawback is the ubiquitous flies – the hotel should spray them for preventative measures.

Avoid!!!!!!!! Dirty, food is horrible,room absolutely below standard!! 4*? Absolutely not!!!!! Maybe a 2* if you drunk enough. Avoid!!!! Only one thing was good -sea /beach is dirty as well. No water to drink in room! I've been many places in Egypt but this hotel is bad as hell.

Biggest draw back here is that 99% of the guests are all German and even the Egyptian staff speak better German than they do English. I like to stay on resort when I am on my own but found that I still got ripped off by the guys on the private beach who tried to charge me 5 euro for a sun bed when they are free! Biggest plus was the snorkelling just off the beach edge - the fish were fabulous. The servers at the bar and in the restaurant were excellent too. Food was simple but good and very well prepared! The first room I got out in was awful - 439 but after I complained and got moved to 108 (paid for an upgrade - well worth the money!!) I was very happy.

We’re currently staying at menaville, this is our first time in Egypt. Our experience of the hotel staff has been and still is exceptional, from the gardeners greeting us in the morning to the restaurant and bar staff who always have a smile on their faces and can not do enough for you. The staff here make the experience as it is, the animation team are warm and friendly and encourage all people to participate, however will respect if you do not wish to join in. We are visiting during Ramadan, and despite the staff fasting from dusk till dawn, they are always upbeat, polite and provide exceptional services. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially to those who are wanting to visit Egypt without the crowds of sharm.

We have loved our stay at Menaville. Calm, quiet and clean. Personnel very caring and smiley. Alaa has particularly taken good care of us. The diving center on site is a true place. But there are also many other activities that you can do directly on site. Food and drinks in the average, could probably do a little better.
