Pickalbatros Citadel Resort Sahl Hasheesh

I will start off my review by saying that me and my girlfriend had a fantastic time at this resort. We arrived really late and were greeted by very friendly staff that provided all the necessary information regarding the hotel. The resort is located about 25 minutes from the airport, so that is a big plus after a long flight. The entire resort itself looks big and amazing, and I was really impressed with the level of cleanliness on this huge area. What I liked the most is the architecture, it's almost like you're living in a small town. In contrast to other "modern" resorts, this one definitely offers something different. The view from the top is absolutely amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly, no matter the hour. Really professional and kind - that applies to everyone, from the reception, to room cleaners, to the waiters at the beach. Although some might be annoyed by the people who offer various services at the beach, they were friendly and not too pushy. A simple thank you was enough for them to leave you alone. The rooms are pretty spacious, but perhaps the lighting could be a bit better, especially in the bathroom. The furniture is a bit outdated, but all in all, we were satisfied with it. The room's AC was working, but I think it should be replaced soon, as it didn't cool the room sufficiently at times. The resort offers plenty of restaurants for food, but we mainly ate at the main restaurant. The reason for that is that the other restaurants were offering practically the same food with slight variations. We were a bit disappointed with the breakfast offer, since there were always only two, maybe three kinds of sausages available. Otherwise, the food was good and tasty, however I do feel like there is room for improvement. The resort also offers a pizza, pasta and ice-cream corner for a late snack, which is a really nice touch. The beaches are amazing, the sea is clean, and there were plenty of sunbeds available. You can only swim in the roped-off zone, but we didn't mind because there is still enough room for a nice swim. We decided not to use the pools, because we rather spent the day at the beach. The entertainment in the evening was okay, but nothing spectacular. Considering that we were there in late August, we kind of expected it, but we were disappointed that there is almost no music played at the beach in the morning or afternoon. It is understandable that some people come to the beach to relax, but almost no music at a big resort like this, didn't make a lot of sense. If we take everything into account, we had a fantastic stay at this resort, especially because of the friendliness, the hospitality, the cleanliness and the overall experience.

I had an amazing stay here during my honeymoon! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the hotel is packed with luxury and great amenities. I truly enjoyed every moment and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended! ❤️

Hotel Management & Service I was truly impressed by the excellent hotel management, especially the professionalism and respect shown by the Desk Manager, Mr. Haytham. * A great variety of activities and entertainment programs throughout the day. * The staff are very well-trained, respectful, friendly, and extremely helpful. * Excellent cleanliness throughout the hotel, including the floors, walkways, and tables. * The food quality in all the restaurants was very good. * The restaurant staff were always welcoming, smiling, and happy to assist. * Fast and efficient room service. Overall, the service was exceptional, and the entire team made our stay enjoyable and comfortable.

The staff here truly go above and beyond. Their care, professionalism, and friendly attitude made our vacation unforgettable.
