Pickalbatros Palace Resort

Hello everyone, i would like to inform you that in this hotel is all about a scam. We arrived at the hotel on the 10 of October and stayed for 2 weeks (2 rooms). Everything was planned to be payed before we arrived we sent 2 emails asking them to send us the link to pay but they replied saying that we are going to pay when we arrived. As soon as we arrived at the hotel the receptionist was very rude ( it was 2am ) we payed everything by card the exchange rates on the international exchange rates are 0.82 and on the machine from the hotel is 0.88 we payed 6 cent more per dollar in the total they took us 578 dollars more.. no one told us about this exchange rates we tried for 2 weeks to solve the problem we was every single day on the reception trying to know how is it possible that they took us that amount of money but the answer of them was always the same. They told us always that the problem was from our bank but our bank is not connected to the machine of the hotel. They insisted that is not the problem from the hotel or from thr bank that is connected to the hotel. I needed to call my self to the bank because the reception didn't want to call them and help us. The best thing is that you can go to the sister hotel called Aqua vista is 20x better. Only 1 person i can really say that tried to help us is Miss Anastasia, but unfortunately she could do nothing because she is just a regular receptionist. Please make sure when you come to this hotel don't pay by card and check always the exchange rates from the machine. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Amazing time. Not one complaint. Staff were outstanding with us and our child. Food was great, lamb tagine defo our favourite. Rooms and whole hotel was spotless. Indoor pool was great for our 2 year old. Felt safe the whole time. Will absolutely return. Thank you

We had a lovely stay at Pickalbatros Palace Hotel. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and all the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. On arrival, we were upgraded to a suite with a jacuzzi on the terrace, which was a lovely surprise! The only downside was that we travelled with our adult children, and we did miss having two bathrooms when we were all getting ready. The entertainment team were great and worked so hard throughout the day and evening. There was so much to do during the day, various competitions, darts, volleyball, water polo everybody got involved and the evening entertainment had a good variety, including some great dancing. The staff were always coming over for a chat and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. The pool areas were lovely, with really comfortable sun loungers, and we never struggled to find somewhere to sit. You can tip the pool attendants to set up your loungers in your preferred spot, which was great, we went back and forth between the pool and the beach, the beach had the edge for us, relaxin g but close to the beach bar and activities and snack bars our room for lunc. The beach bar was fab, and there was a good choice of restaurants and snack bars. The food was lovely, and the on-site bakery was delish! There was also a good selection of drinks included in the all-inclusive, with wine and beers available, so plenty of choice when relaxing around the pool/ beach or enjoying an evening drink. There are a few shops in and below the hotel, which are quite touristy but fine if you don’t want to leave the resort. We went to Senzo Mall, which was great. The hotel arranged a taxi to drop us off and collect us, which made it really easy. All in all, we had a fantastic holiday. The hotel was lovely, the staff were brilliant, and there was always something to do if you wanted to keep busy or just relax around the pool. Would definitely recommend and would happily return we don’t go back to the same hotels but would look to book within the Ouckalbatros group again ☀️🍹🌴

A very disappointing experience – Promises made, but no proper solution We are currently staying at Pickalbatros Palace, and unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing. We are travelling as a family of six, with four adults, two children and their grandparents. From the beginning, our room was not suitable for our needs because it did not have a separate shower. We therefore asked reception for a ground-floor room with garden access and a separate shower. The reception staff told us that we could change rooms after five days and that we would be given a room that suited our requirements. We trusted this information and waited four days, looking forward to finally having a more comfortable room. Unfortunately, when we returned to reception, we were offered another room that was practically the same as the one we already had. The new room is very small, looks quite old and worn, and certainly does not meet our expectations for the room category we booked. In the room where we sleep with our two children, the washbasin is located directly in the bedroom, which is extremely inconvenient for a family. What frustrates us most is that we waited for days based on what we were told by reception, only to find ourselves in essentially the same situation again. Our time on holiday is valuable, and we should not have to spend it repeatedly negotiating for accommodation that meets the standard we booked and paid for. We understand that room availability can sometimes be an issue. However, making promises to guests and then offering a room that does not address their concerns is not acceptable customer service. We are now asking management for an appropriate room or fair financial compensation. Unfortunately, this situation has seriously affected our holiday experience. We expected much better communication, service and accommodation quality. Our advice to future guests: Make sure you carefully confirm the exact room category and facilities before booking, and do not rely solely on verbal promises about a future room change. We hope management takes our complaint seriously, but based on our experience so far, we are very disappointed.

My family & I “8 Adults + 3 Children” had a wonderful time as well as the entire staff made us feel at home
