Pickalbatros Palace Resort

A very disappointing experience – Promises made, but no proper solution We are currently staying at Pickalbatros Palace, and unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing. We are travelling as a family of six, with four adults, two children and their grandparents. From the beginning, our room was not suitable for our needs because it did not have a separate shower. We therefore asked reception for a ground-floor room with garden access and a separate shower. The reception staff told us that we could change rooms after five days and that we would be given a room that suited our requirements. We trusted this information and waited four days, looking forward to finally having a more comfortable room. Unfortunately, when we returned to reception, we were offered another room that was practically the same as the one we already had. The new room is very small, looks quite old and worn, and certainly does not meet our expectations for the room category we booked. In the room where we sleep with our two children, the washbasin is located directly in the bedroom, which is extremely inconvenient for a family. What frustrates us most is that we waited for days based on what we were told by reception, only to find ourselves in essentially the same situation again. Our time on holiday is valuable, and we should not have to spend it repeatedly negotiating for accommodation that meets the standard we booked and paid for. We understand that room availability can sometimes be an issue. However, making promises to guests and then offering a room that does not address their concerns is not acceptable customer service. We are now asking management for an appropriate room or fair financial compensation. Unfortunately, this situation has seriously affected our holiday experience. We expected much better communication, service and accommodation quality. Our advice to future guests: Make sure you carefully confirm the exact room category and facilities before booking, and do not rely solely on verbal promises about a future room change. We hope management takes our complaint seriously, but based on our experience so far, we are very disappointed.

We have had an amazing stay at Albatros Palace Hurghada. The hotel is very clean, well organized, and everything is managed professionally. A special thank you goes to Omar Abdelfatah from the restaurant. He truly deserves a promotion for his outstanding work. Throughout our entire holiday, he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. He is always walking around the restaurant with a smile, helping guests, and making everyone feel welcome. His positive attitude, hard work, and dedication really stand out.

My stay was nothing short of amazing. This hotel truly deserves its 9.4 rating, and in my opinion, it even exceeds it. As an Egyptian, I feel incredibly proud to see an Egyptian brand like Pickalbatros competing with—and even surpassing—many international luxury hotels through its outstanding hospitality and exceptional service. If I had to describe my experience in one phrase, it would be “Attention to Detail.” From the management to every single team member, everyone is genuinely welcoming, smiling, and committed to making every guest feel special. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The swimming pools are excellent, and the cleanliness throughout the resort is absolutely outstanding. The Front Office team deserves special recognition for their professionalism, warm welcome, and seamless service. The restaurants were one of the highlights of my stay. A huge appreciation goes to the incredible restaurant staff and the talented chefs. The food quality easily exceeds five-star expectations—always fresh, delicious, and served throughout the day with excellent timing. The variety of restaurants and bars is simply impressive. My sincere thanks go first to the amazing staff, and secondly to the outstanding management for creating such an exceptional guest experience. A very special thank you to Mr. Mohamed Eid Soliman, a true ambassador of Mr. Kamel Abou Ali’s vision and the Pickalbatros Group. My sincere appreciation to Mr. Kamel Abou Ali for building such an exceptional hospitality brand. I stayed with my family (my wife and 4 children) for 3 wonderful nights from June 18th to 21st. Upon arrival, the management upgraded us from two separate rooms to a pristine, spacious family room. Special thanks to the receptionist, Mr. Mostafa Abou El-Kassem, for his warm hospitality, and the housekeeping team for their high professionalism. The food was diverse and excellent, especially at the Chinese, Italian, and Oriental restaurants. The Aqua Park was absolutely amazing and perfect for the kids. We also took an incredible boat trip arranged by the beach specialists, which included diving and memorable photos on a nearby island. The resort is extremely safe; I never worried about my children. Moreover, the place is highly walkable and beautifully designed to move easily between the rooms, restaurants, and the beach. Highly recommended for families!
