Second visit this year and RIXOS Magawish did not disappoint. This place continues to deliver and remains a firm favourite of ours. From the moment you drive through the gates and along the long, beautifully lit driveway, it puts a smile on your face. We were met at reception by a beaming smile from Angi, who welcomed us back and then informed us we had been upgraded to a villa. What a way to start the holiday! Angi is a real credit to the Rixos brand. The Villa The villa with a swim-up pool was amazing and had everything you could possibly want and more. The minibar was well stocked, with one in both the main bedroom and dining area. An iron and ironing board were provided, and if there was anything else we needed, we were told simply to call and it would be provided — even a shuttle service. Our cleaner was fantastic, cleaning and restocking every day. We could even request specific drinks by leaving a note, which were then provided. The whole resort is incredibly clean and tidy, and you can see how hard the staff work to maintain the standards. The location is also perfect. Food & Restaurants The buffet offers plenty of choice and caters for everyone. The waiting staff work extremely hard and are always on hand to keep your drinks topped up. The main restaurant can get busy, so the à la carte restaurants are a great alternative if you prefer a quieter setting. Booking the à la carte restaurants is really easy using the QR code on the room key holder. One thing to be aware of is that you can only have three active bookings, and you can’t book another until you’ve used one. Top tip: Email Guest Relations before you arrive and book a couple of restaurants in advance. This means you can have five bookings active when you arrive. We enjoyed all of the à la carte restaurants, with none leaving us disappointed. Our favourite was Salt, with exceptional seafood in a fantastic beach setting. The waiter service was again excellent and very friendly. Mangal BBQ was also very good and has a great setting. A special mention must also go to the staff in the Panorama Bar. They are incredibly friendly and provide first-class service. Entertainment The entertainment team are fantastic — always full of energy and constantly encouraging everyone to get involved. The Pink Party around the pool was great and created a brilliant atmosphere. The evening entertainment in the arena was also very good. The dancers and acrobats were fantastic and certainly put on a show. The What’s Up Band were brilliant and had everyone on their feet. The only criticism would be that they only played for a relatively short time, and once they finished and the DJ came on, the arena tended to empty. Beach The beach is a great place with plenty of sunbeds, although they seemed to be taken very early in the morning. This may have been because the main pool was closed for repairs during our stay. The beach cabanas were the one area that disappointed me. Having visited numerous Rixos hotels in both Egypt and Turkey, I expected more from the cabana experience. At $160 for a beachfront cabana, I would expect a much higher level of service. On arrival, we were shown to the cabana and told to press the bell if we needed anything. We received a cool box with soft drinks and a bottle of bubbly, which was a nice touch but this did not provide cold drinks. There was a fridge but this did not work. The towels left on the furniture still had sand on them and didn’t appear to have been freshly prepared for the day. Nobody checked in on us during our time there. I would strongly recommend Rixos Magawish look at Rixos Premium Belek, who, in my opinion, set the benchmark for cabana service. Adults’ Infinity Pool What a beautiful pool, with a magnificent view overlooking the sea. There are plenty of sunbeds, although you would struggle to find one after around 9am. The lifeguards work hard to keep everyone happy and the bar staff around the pool area are also excellent. The only issue was the QR codes. They didn’t work once during our nine-day stay, meaning there was very little service around the pool. With this being part of the RIXOS concept, this is something I would hope gets addressed. Overall RIXOS Magawish is an exceptional resort in an amazing setting. It is a large resort, but the shuttle buses are always available to take you around, so getting from one area to another is never really an issue. The atmosphere is fantastic and, above all, the staff are what make this resort so special. Their hard work, friendliness and willingness to help really stand out. There are a couple of areas that could be improved to push this resort into the true ultra-luxury bracket, particularly the cabana service and poolside QR ordering. That said, this remains a firm favourite of ours. Two visits in the same year says it all. Would we return? Absolutely. Would I recommend it? 100%. I can genuinely say that if you’re considering RIXOS Magawish, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I normally stay in Rui hotels as they are extremely nice hotels, however if it’s luxury you are looking for then this is the place to be. Staff are so friendly and welcoming they can’t do enough for you, the hotel is the biggest I’ve seen with lots to do. I would most definitely recommend this hotel
