Steigenberger Makadi

The Steigenberger Makadi, is one of the nicest and friendliest hotels I have ever had the pleasure to stay at. The Staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, always there to serve with a smile, I have to name a few , Amer our waiter was fantastic , I’m not sure I ever saw my glass empty whilst eating, always smiling and informative. The pool cafe/bar guys were great . The surroundings and food are excellent. I landed back in the U K today , I will be booking my next trip there within the next few days. I fully recommend this establishment.

I chose this hotel for my first solo trip as it was small, not on the beach (though there was the option to go) and was predominantly for golfers (I don't play golf!) hoping that it would be quiet and peaceful and it didn't disappoint. The hotel was beautifully appointed, clean and well-organised. My room was lovely with everything I needed and had a wonderful view from the balcony. The food was absolutely amazing. I don't really like buffet dining as it can be frantic; there is only buffet dining in the evening but because the hotel was so small it was relaxed and pleasant, especially being able to eat outside on the terrace. I could not fault the food itself, well-cooked, varied and extremely tasty. At lunchtime, the only dining is by the pool and this is a waited service with an equally wonderful menu. I need to mention the staff separately as they were kind, attentive and very helpful. I was a little worried about being on my own and how I would be treated but I needn't have worried, all of the staff instantly understood my concerns and learned my preferences so that I never felt uncomfortable or ignored. The restaurant manager in particular looked out for me and made sure that I could sit at "my table" every evening. I met some really nice people too, the other guests were all friendly and very kind. My only criticism would be the all inclusive drinks, these were a little uninspiring and many of the cocktails were very similar in taste with nothing that really stood out except the Pina Colada. All in all it was just what I was looking for and I would certainly go back (might even take my husband next time!!). Thank you to all of the staff for a really lovely stay.

This was hands down the most amazing hotel I've ever been too. It was immaculate, modern, had everything we needed. The staff will go above and beyond for you, you're pretty much waited on hand and foot. The food albeit could be improved but that is personal preference it was still great quality of products. Every staff member meet you with a smile and a hello, and I could not have asked for a better experience, we didn't even need to leave the hotel, in fact we preferred staying at the poolside in the hotel.

My friend and I have just come back from another beautiful holiday , this is the 2nd stay here, and looking to book again ! Staff are amazing , food is beautiful, and the hotel is spotless. I sent an email to them to ask for the same room and I even got that. Jo & Claire

Our fourth holiday at Steigenberger Makadi was as good as ever. The level of service and food quality continues to exceed all expectations. Particular thanks to Reda and George in the restaurant without whom our stay would be less than complete. The room service and pool bar staff complement what we rate as the best hotel offering in Makadi. With the golf course on the doorstep it is difficult to say how the holiday could be improved. The management of this establishment are on top of the game. Most impressive is the way in which, without exception, all the staff work as a team and provide a warm and friendly environment for all the guests. Can’t wait for our next visit, possibly November? The hotel is always full of returning guests, and the long serving staff remember you from previous visits, so that speaks for itself. I don’t know why I am writing this? If I had half a brain I would be keeping Steigenberger Makadi a secret. My stupid fault then if they are fully booked when I plan our next trip.
