Sunrise Alora Aqua Park Resort

I have been to many 5* hotels both hurghada and sharm, including aqua blu, jungle aqua. This is by far the most amazing resort I have been to. May not be as big as many but the resort has everything, the best beach I have seen in the whole of sharm and hurghada and the staff are out of this world. They seriously can't do enough for you, I don't think the word " no" is in their vocabulary. The food is amazing. You can also go to their sister hotel right next door and use their facilities. They have I believe 3/4 la carte restaurants, I didn't need to use any as the main restaurant had everything. There was foam parties, beach party, great entertainment, I just can't praise it enough. It was so good that we hope to go with the whole family, approx 25/30 of us Xmas 2026.

The hotel was advertised as Sunrise Solara but it’s actually a separate building right next to Sunrise Alora Resort, which you share all the facilities with, this was not mentioned anywhere. (We were glad we went for the Solara as it was much cheaper than the Alora, even though it’s literally the same hotel, just a separate building.) Hotel grounds were lovely, but there is still some construction going on at the moment where they are building a beach bar and an additional pool bar which caused some noise at times but it doesn’t affect your holiday stay. The hotel room was up to good standards with a balcony and fridge filled up everyday with refreshments. The only issues were the lift which didn’t work properly all the time and would take you to the wrong floor sometimes so we preferred the stairs, along with the shower not having hot water at first but it actually takes around 5-10mins for the water to heat up. We mentioned this to the hotel and I think it’s because the hotel is still a new building, so issues like this were expected, but we wasted alot of water daily by doing this… the hotel is filled with signs on how to ‘save water and electricity’ but staff didn’t seem bothered when we brought the issues up at reception, as we spoke to other guests who had the same issues. There are plenty of water slides to keep you entertained and all guests seemed to prefer the pool areas over the beach, due to the shallow water where you could walk a mile and the water doesn’t get past your knees. Only thing that could of made our holiday better was some entertainment in the evenings. The Animation team is by far the worst I have experienced on all my visits to Egypt, they barely engaged with guests as it seemed they were there for a holiday themselves. Evening activities were only for kids, no entertainment for adults which I was surprised as they had 16+ areas for food and pools… when it come to the evenings we were left having a drink and going up to bed as there was nothing to do all week and the location of the hotel was only filled with a few shops so not much to do unless you get a taxi to the centre.

We had a 15-day vacation. I highly recommend the Sunrise Solara Alora Resort Hotel. The hotel staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful. Throughout the hotel, from the bartenders to the animators, the pool staff were all great, the staff were very friendly and smiling. The food was very good, the selection of delicious cakes and fruit was excellent. We also thank the entire Sunrise team. We had a beautiful vacation. The beach was beautiful, and the sea was clean and tide-free. The area was very large and the grounds were spacious, with beautiful gardens. We had a view from the terrace of our room, overlooking the sea and the city. Room number 2019 was a great thank you to all the staff. We had a great stay.

arrived at hotel after a whole day of travelling they couldn’t find our booking apparently left us sat in reception for 4 hours no food or drink Finnaly gave us our room. we paid £180 pound extra for a sea view and they just put us in a room with a view of a wall went back next day all of a sudden found our booking we know our booking was on the system but we strongly believe they double booked us or sold us a room what was getting renovated as two whole floors was in the middle of getting renovated which were all sea views so I believe one of them room was ours went back following morning and asked them for our sea view what we had paid for it then took them an extra two hours to consider putting us in a sea view as they was saying no at first but I wasn’t leaving the reception until I got my sea view Finnaly got a room not the deluxe room we asked and paid for but at this moment all we was bothered about was our sea view but once all this was over and dealt with the hotel was a lovely hotel , with lovely views and most of the staff were amazing some were rude and unhelpful

AMAZING. So firstly I don't want to take away other people's experience of this hotel as I whole heartedly believe they were all true BUT please reconsider returning if you had a bad time. The hotel has been recently taken over and by God what a change, not just asthetically but a complete staff change. As you look at the hotel from the front we were in the little part to the right as the big part is having a complete renovation. This did not impact our holiday 1 bit. In fact if we walked anywhere near where someone was working they'd stop and carry on once we walked past. They were also renovating rooms in the part we stayed but we didn't even know they were there. When I say renovating I mean they have ripped everything out and starting with a blank canvas. The swim up rooms have been completely emptied and were having all new electrics installed and new furniture, we saw brand new mattresses being put in the rooms too. Now for the exceptional part. We were met at reception with a welcome drink and the most pleasant receptionist I've ever come across. We didn't check in at the desk we were sat on the really comfy sofas, relaxed and ready for our holiday. Our cases were loaded onto the trolley and taken to the rooms for us. ROOM Our room was spotlessly clean. The 1st thing i try is the bed and it did not disappoint it's on par with a premier inn mattress ❤️ plenty of room for us the pull out sofa bed was also very very comfy and Who doesn't love bed art we had crocodiles, octopus, elephant, monkey the list goes on ❤️ FOOD we arrived after tea but they offer a late supper and what a treat we had. Fresh bread, warm and extremely tasty food with plenty of choice. As the holiday went on the food was never repeated. It was hot, tasty, full of flavour and freshly cooked at every meal time, a lot of it you see them preparing fresh. I personally love that. The poolside restaurant does fresh pizzas in the pizza oven, chicken shawarma, fresh homemade beef burgers or chicken burgers and boy they didn't disappoint. The food is spectacular. You can even order your food and take it back to the pool side but we preferred to sit and enjoy the service which was superb. ALCOHOL We all like a drink on holiday and the cocktails are gorgeous, don't order loads at once you really don't need to, when your drink is nearly empty they're there filling it up. Local spirits are strong, they use cans of Stella for lager it's fresh and tastes lovely and isn't flat. POOLS/BEACH The hotel itself is big and the pools and slides are brilliant. This is a great family place you don't need to leave the hotel if you don't want to. The private beach is gorgeous. The sea is very shallow and you can walk quite far and the water is still only to your knees. STAFF I will never be able to praise them enough. Barstaff, restaurant, reception, chefs, gardeners, maintenance, lifeguards, cleaners, concierge, room cleaners, security and entertainment staff WOW what an absolutely amazing bunch of people. They cannot do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble. They're pleasant and you can see how much they love it if your happy. They all read the room perfectly. Please please tip them it doesn't have to be lots they are so grateful for anything. If you have a special occasion happening whilst your there just mention it to the chefs and you'll be in for the best treat ever (i wont elaborate and spoil it) SUMMARY I'm pretty sure I could go on about this place for hours but I won't as I think I've covered most things. Please bare in mind they have turned this hotel around in 25 days so imagine what they're going to achieve in another 25 days it's going to be spectacular once it's completely done. This has been the only time I've cried when leaving a hotel, i honestly did not want to leave. Every photo I added I've taken, if you do go please say hi to all staff for me I'm missing them already and if you choose this place as your next holiday have the best time.
