TUI MAGIC LIFE Kalawy

We have just returned from another superb holiday at TUI MAGIC LIFE Kalawy, and as this was our third visit, we can confidently say the standards remain completely unsurpassed. From the very moment we arrived until the second we departed, the staff simply could not have done more for us. Every single department works in perfect harmony to deliver an incredible experience. The food was absolutely outstanding with endless variety, the accommodation was exceptionally comfortable, and the overall cleanliness of the entire resort was immaculate. We had absolutely everything we needed throughout our stay. On the rare occasion where there was the slightest interruption, it was dealt with immediately, efficiently, and always with a genuine pleasure to serve. The hospitality here is unmatched. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so memorable. We love this resort and will undoubtedly be back for visit number four!

We come here very often; we love the whole Kalawy complex—but especially the Mymo Club—and the entertainment team here is absolutely amazing.

CONS. This was our 6th visit to this hotel, upon our late arrival we checked in and made our way to our room which reception told us was a lovely room with a lovely view. Our previous stay we upgraded to a sea view only to find it was the same block with same view as our 4th visit to which we didn't upgrade, so decided to skip that this year. This time we was right at the end of the blocks 2020, view was overlooking sand dunes and security, usually on arrival we state its our anniversary and theres fruit wine and a fridge full of drinks. we had none of these and no tea making facilities, not even a kettle, which was very disappointed after a long day travelling and just wanted a cup of tea. This was resolved once spoken to reception and they bought a broken kettle which burnt my husband's hand, changed kettle. On asking several times for wine, milk tea etc, we thought the quality of standards had declined. Rooms really do need a makeover. We were given a cake for our anniversary after I fell ill during our meal, when came to eat the next day I removed from the fridge to find it covered in ants even though it was still covered.After again complaining, the Housekeeping manager phoned and asked what do you want from us, we didn't want no perks no freebies just a little understanding thst the first 4 days of our holiday was a shambles. We absolutely love it here hence why we keep returning and will continue to do so .Just feel that standards have slipped. PROS Food is excellent, ate steak most nights and omelette made how you like every morning. Staff are amazing made some great friends over the years, these boys work so hard to make your holiday special, Ziad,Khalad, Kareem you are just amazing, but many have moved on and did miss them, Tawfik and Hassam.If you dont like cats, then dont come here, saw people being cruel and throwing them off chairs and beds.😡 Most of these cats have babies so please dont hurt them, they are looked after flead, neutered and cared for by staff. Go and visit Meena in the bag shop. Buy OFF spray for mosquitos, Entertainment good, foam party on the beach and shows nightly. We will still return next year but do hope Housekeeping will take on board those issues and return to the standards we grew to love.

Mymo club were super! Tilde and Louis really gave their best at all time and always whit a big smile. You really noticed that they love what they are doing. Me and my boy were really surprised by how good this whole kids club team were! Keep this up! And I really enjoyed archery whit Dima😁🏹

My family and I stayed at the Magic Life Kalway 14th - 25th August 2026. On arrival, the hotel looked fab, lovely tended gardens and flowers, lovely date palms and all low rise blocks, rather than the horrid large tower blocks some hotels have. The lagoon and sea was lovely. Everything was great until all of our family, with the exception of our youngest, suddenly came down with D&V half way into our holiday. After becoming so ill, when we could eventually leave our apartment, we decided to look for clues as to what made us ill but not our youngest (we were all in the same pools etc). We noticed some absolutely disgusting food hygiene practices, which shocked us, including; - snacks by the pool (chips, burgers, sandwiches) were prepared by a chef who handled raw burger meat with a gloved hand, but then used the same gloved hand to make fresh sandwiches or shovelling chips into takeaway cartons. No swapping gloves, no washing hands, no using tongs etc - chefs in the main restaurant picked up food (eg a pepper or tomato) from the floor, with bare hands, and tossed them back into the salad serving dish - chefs in the main kitchen would sweep food up off the counters where food had fallen out of the serving dishes, using bare hands, and throw them back into the serving dishes - chefs in the main kitchen would walk by food stations pushing a trolly (with bare hands), would stop at a cold meat or cheese serving dish, rearrange the food using bare hands (no tongs or anything) and then would go back to pushing the trolly to another part of the kitchen - we had minced kebabs come off the grill still pink inside We made it to the onsite pharmacist, who was very helpful. Seemingly he knew only too well the hotel had problems, as the medication we needed was the most bought medication (his stock was almost empty compared to all the other meds on the shelves), and admitted lots of people come in with D&V. We later saw lots of other people taking plates of plain food (bread rolls) away to their apartments for family who were hooled up due to sickness. We saw plenty of people at dining tables taking the same medication as us. Speaking to several families, they all had got ill themselves or knew other families who were affected too. When we reported this to the rep, we were dismissed, they could not accept the bad hygiene practices despite the evidence we gave them. And when we logged a formal complaint with TUI, we got a dismissive reply saying they cannot find any examples of bad practice at the hotel and that no compensation would be given, despite our evidence and the fact that we lot half our holiday due to sickness. In short, the food hygiene is terrible at Magic Life Kalway. We will never visit again. I would urge any traveller to not go.
