Aurora Oriental Resort Sharm El Sheikh

The front of the hotel looks great . You walk in looks amazing. Thats where the looks stop. As soon as you walk down the corridor there are broken tiles everywhere. Doors need painting. Looks very scruffy and unwelcoming. Not a good start. Then you go in the rooms. Our first room no curtains . Electrics are not brilliant. Bathroom disgusting. Broken tiles more silcone than tiles and mould round bath and looked like taps where coming off the walls. Straight back to reception at 11pm to asked to change rooms. Secound room not much better still broken tiles silicone and mould around the bath. But buy now it 12 at night so we keep the room. Beds where clean and rooms where clean every day. The food leaves alot to be desired. Pasta not cooked properly. I actually spat the lasagne out it was gross. Cold chips . Better off waiting till they put new ones in. Scrambled eggs in the morning just tasted of salt. So check a little bit before you put it on your plate. Amenities where good plenty of pools. To choose from. One near the entrance is good with a swim up bar. Classed as the relaxing pool. Plenty of loungers. Staff are amazing . Work really hard to make your holiday. They will come to you for drink orders and bring them to you. Sammy the guy near the pool nothing is to much trouble he work hard. Pity the room and the food let it down. I wont go back there.

Everything was fine. Staff awesome. Location great. I was in room 367, the clean service of mohamed were just perfect. I highly recommend this place

Absolutely fantastic time here and Mina the bar man in the pool bar in the day and in the lemon twist at night is fantastic and his attention to detail when it comes to is working day is exceptional ..

Once again had a wonderful 3 weeks here again all staff are outstanding would like to mention abdo what a perfect gentleman and exceptional barman as for abnob what a character never laughed so much great character last but not least our housekeeper gubb can't thank him enough again looked after us and was always excellent thank you aurora wee will see you in October

Me and my son stayed at this resort between the 4th-12th of May. We had fabulous time here. The hotel is beautiful, clean and the grounds are kept immaculate. Inside does need a little TLC nothing major that would stop me from returning. The staff were very welcoming very friendly and aim to make guests stay a pleasant one. The first night we arrived wasn't sure about the food so we ate out one night and got lunch at KFC but after a couple of days we saw that there was plenty of choice and options to choose from so I would say give it a chance before spending your money to eat out unless this is something you want to do. There is always a grill section for lunch and dinner so try this out also. The hotel manager Mohamed Salah was really lovely and helpful. We had a couple of issues with our room Mohamed Salah offered to upgrade us free of charge to another room. But we really liked the room that we were in because we had our own private back garden and it was away from the pool and busyness of the hotel so we stayed where we were and the issues in our room was rectified. Room 4130 We went on a day trip and when we returned to our room there was a birthday cake waiting for me organised by Mohamed Salah. Thank Mohamed Salah. So thoughtful and a lovely gesture. There was a slight misunderstanding in the restaurant between myself and Fahiem Mikee. The restaurant manager also called Mohamed apologised for this and ensured we were taken of for the rest our stay when dinning. Fahiem Mikee was very very apologetic for the situation. He really went out of his way to show how truly sorry he was. He did all he could to make mine and my son's dinning experience a pleasant one each time we entered the restaurant. Such a humble guy. So all good. Thank you Fahiem Mikee. I want to give a big shout-out to Abanoub who works in the Lemon Twist bar. Really friendly guy. By day 2 he knew what I liked to drink and how I liked it made which he did every time. When staff make an effort to know what guest likes and provide a good service it makes for a pleasant stay. The little things make a difference. Thank you Abanoub. Mohamed Sabry did a fantastic job keeping our room clean. The days we didn't require cleaning he ensured we had fresh towels and bottles of water. It was always nice to return to our room following housekeeping service from Mohamad Sabry. Thank you Mohamed Salah and to all your amazing staff. I had a wonderful birthday trip and time at Aurora Oriental. I would highly recommend this resort.
