Aurora Oriental Resort Sharm El Sheikh

This was my 4th time here & never disappoints. Lovely welcome from reception on arrival & shown to our room. We arrived late & were advised there was food waiting in the restaurant for us. Room was spacious, bed huge. We stayed in Deluxe garden view & it was very quiet. The staff here are amazing and continuously go out of their way to ensure you are looked after. Special shout outs to Mahmood in the restaurant- always a smile on his face & would ensure we had a table waiting & would get our drinks. Mohammed at the pool bar by the beach & barman at the lemon twist bar ( sorry, forgot his name) friendly, helpful & ensured we were always topped up with drinks. The lifeguards at the pool would always set up our umbrellas & beds, not allowing us to do anything. Pool lovely & clean, & a nice relaxing atmosphere to spend the day. Food- breakfast was our favourite, lovely omelettes each morning made fresh, great selection of pastries, and much more. Lunch & evening meals sometimes a little hit & miss, but we could always find something to eat if needed. We did eat out over the road a couple of times, but that was personal preference & wanting to eat out of the hotel. We requested a late checkout, which was no issue. Rooms were kept clean & bedding changed when requested. The hotel is well situated in Nabq, La Strada over the road with plenty of restaurants, bars & shops. Supermarket next door for snacks. All of the staff at the Oriental work so hard & they make this hotel amazing. From the cleaners, to the barman, waiters & pool boys. They make you feel so welcome. Have already booked to go back next year. Good value for money. Would recommend this hotel.

Stunning resort in an excellent location, however service was appalling, especially in the bar areas . We tipped regularly however it made no difference. Reception area refurbished, bright and very welcoming, however the rest of the hotel is clean but is in great need of a full refurbishment . Bedrooms are clean and comfortable, but require a full upgrade . Pool area also requires an upgrade tiles broken ,dirty in areas and some beds broken and ripped . Dining room clean , food was good , good selection but the bar in dining room was dreadful , staff very ignorant, drinks thrown at you ,warm beer , warm soft drinks out of a bottle in old marked or chipped small glasses , often no glasses and then u got a paper cup which held approximately 75mls 😩 surely in a 5 star resort a clean glass and a decent drink is not too much to ask . The pool bar also a shambles, all drinks sitting out in blazing heat , only used the bar for 1st few days then went to local supermarket and got ice and soft drinks to take to the pool . I visited this hotel over 10 years ago which I praised the friendliness of all the staff and the service was top notch , however I have never came across so many unhappy and unpleasant people in all of my travels . YOU have a beautiful resort with a lot of potential, however the staff’s attitude and service let the hotel down .

We are currently staying at this resort, and unfortunately, the kids’ entertainment has been extremely disappointing. There is a Russian girl working at the kids’ club, but there is very little to keep the children entertained. Apart from watching TV and drawing, hardly any activities are offered. My daughter was so bored that she only went to the kids’ club once and then refused to go back. Honestly, I’m not surprised that the kids’ club is always empty. It really needs someone who is more attentive, engaging, and enthusiastic about interacting with the children and making sure they actually have fun. On the other hand, the restaurant has been excellent. The food is good and varied, with themed evenings, and the service is well organized. The restaurant staff are attentive, friendly, and we have always been served with a smile. The reception team is also genuinely courteous and professional, and they are always ready to help whenever needed.

We have had a fantastic 2 weeks. We enjoyed our stay very much. What a beautiful hotel. Thank you to all the staff who work so very hard to ensure you are having the best holiday.

I had an incredible stay at the hotel ,The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, the beach and sea were absolutely stunning, and the food at the restaurants was delicious with great service throughout. The biggest highlight of my trip was definitely the entertainment program and the amazing animation team. A very special thanks to Vichka she is exceptionally hardworking, bright, and brought so much joy, warm energy, and fun to every day! Her amazing vibes made this holiday truly unforgettable. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be back!
