Aurora Oriental Resort Sharm El Sheikh

Wow where to start, sorry for late review, my wife and I took our granddaughter to Aurora earlier this year in may for 2 weeks, from arriving at the hotel to leaving we had an amazing time. eWe arrived very late Tuesday 12th may for 14nights, the hotel put food on for us and to our surprise it was a hot servery, I had the best beef in black bean sauce better than most Chinese's at home, so that was a great start. The room was loved.ly with a huge ground floor balcony opposite the pool. The food in the restaurant was varied and delicious and always hot. The barbecue was always changing with varieties of meats and seafood. The staff were amazing waiters and bar staff also the room cleaning were a credit to the hotel. We ate out a few times also at mazzika and Arab bucks, the food was equally top notch. My grand daughter is 8 years old and this was her first foreign holiday and the staff were fantastic with her always making her feel extra special. I could go on all day about how much we enjoyed it. And to prove it we've booked again for 2 weeks next may and 2 weeks next September. We made some fantastic friends there also, which will be long term friends for life, they also coming next may for our friend Carl's birthday on the 18th and mine on the 20th may. We tipped the staff very frequently and it was received with such gratitude. They really looked after us. THANK YOU AURORA TEAM FOR MAKING OUR MEMORIES MEMORABLE FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS, I CANT WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR. SEE YOU IN MAY

amazing hotel staff are excellent this was our 5th visit to this hotel we travel twice a year to see the staff who have become our friends entertainment is better as animation has changed. work is being done to improve the hotel which wasnt a problem for us. lots of shops and bars outside mango chinese is excellent rooms are good we always have a room around the relax pool. we will see you all back in may 2027

We don't normally go for 'all inclusive' hotels but this was a family reunion and our daughter picked the location. We were pleasantly surprised. The booking process was a challenge - i would use and agent or something like booking.com in future. When we met the people at the front desk we understood why. They were unbelievably unhelpful, rude and dismissive which was real shame because the rest of the staff were fabulous. The food was better than expected and it was overall a good experience. Mind you, we weren't at the height of the season - i would think it could be a bit of a zoo at that time. They seem to have way more room types that they advertise on their website - we ended up with a nice suite but they weren't shown online for some reason. If you want to go for this type of vacation this is a good option - if you can ignore the reception and focus on the truly lovely staff in the rest of the hotel

Hotel- nice hotel with everything that you need. We spent most of our days at the beech where we were looked after the lifeguard’s and the bar staff worked really hard to make sure we were looked after. Nice jetty out to sea - shame there isn’t much coral but that’s not the hotels fault. There is a bus to the beach but the walk from the hotel is pleasant through the very well kept gardens. Food - plenty of choice and we found the main restaurant the best place to eat with BBQ meats every night. The food in the restaurant was always plentiful and warm. The service was fine the staff are very busy so sometimes you had to get your own drink (this is not a problem surely) ? The food at the pool bars was cold which wasn’t great but they are trying to cater for a lot of people and wasn’t a big issue. Room - we had a deluxe garden room it was great and just what we needed as to be honest I don’t go on holiday to sit in a room. Cleaner daily with towel art everyday. Our room cleaner was always on hand if we needed anything he had forgotten. All staff- we didn’t come across any unhelpful or unfriendly staff all happy and willing to help. Outside the hotel- we went to mango for a Chinese across the road which was lovely, and motion to watch football eat food and drink cocktails this was by choice to eat out and do something different. The restaurant in the hotel was also great my husband said it was the best steak he has had in a long time so he highly recommends. We have been to many hotels in Egypt and we would recommend this one and we would return. My advice is always be kind and you will get kind back 🥰

So where do I start with my review it wasn’t the holiday that me and my husband wanted for our anniversary we arrived late on 16/09 and checked in very quickly and I had asked for an accessible room because my husband was a bit unsteady on his feet and our room was spot on only a short walk to the pool and restaurant etc we went to the pool on the Thursday morning to be greeted by the lifeguard who got us two sun beds which was great then it all went wrong my husband took ill and we ended up going to the clinic in the hotel the doctor said your husband needs to go to hospital but before we can take him I need passport and insurance details I was in a terrible state and he was not sympathetic at all so I had to run back the room to get everything that was needed we could not get in touch with the insurance by phone so I had to pay on my card before they would take him 756 pound later he was in hospital for 4 days and the hotel where amazing with me made sure I was ok even bringing food to my room because I didn’t want to go to the restaurant I went the hospital every morning till 4 o’clock he eventually came out on the Monday we tried for a couple of days to see how we got on but eventually we decided to go home early I cannot fault the staff they where amazing and also easy jet got us flights home no extra charge back in England 6 days early and my husband has now been in hospital since we have got home but thank you so much to the Aurora management and staff amazing service hopefully be back one day xx
