First time back in Sharm in 17 years Travelled as a couple , we were very kindly offered free upgrade to a jacuzzi room for 7 days Positives Food amazing Hotel is spotless Beach excellent Service was top notch Staff all so friendly & hardworking Never felt cramped IVO beach for the day bliss ! Negatives None We will be booking to come back next summer with our teenage daughter this time & will get a swim up as those rooms looked amazing

Beautiful resort, great staff, disappointing management and surprisingly poor maintenance for a luxury resort We stayed at TUI BLUE Sensatori Coral Sea in Sharm El Sheikh for our honeymoon, a holiday that cost us almost €8,000. Unfortunately, what should have been a wonderful family honeymoon turned into a frustrating experience due to poor room maintenance, several safety concerns and, most importantly, the way management handled issues. First of all, I want to be fair: the regular hotel staff were excellent. Housekeeping, restaurant staff, technicians, gardeners, bartenders and waiters worked very hard, were always polite and genuinely tried to help whenever possible. The problem was not the staff. The problem was management. Upon arrival we had to wait beyond the official check-in time before accessing our room and even obtaining Wi-Fi access. Once in the room, we immediately found numerous issues: • Broken reading light • Bedside lamp producing a constant high-pitched noise when switched off • Mould in the bathroom silicone and grout • Mould inside the air-conditioning vent • Stained curtains and bed linen • Open electrical wiring • Missing bathroom accessories • Dust under beds, behind furniture and around drains • Leaking shower hose • Worn mattress protector • Mini fridge barely cooling anything The minibar was replaced multiple times. Even management eventually stated that it was "not really a fridge", despite being advertised as one. One of the most unpleasant surprises was a very strong varnish smell throughout the room during our first week. According to neighbouring guests, doors and other room elements had been varnished shortly before our arrival. I suffer from migraines and spent most of that first week with headaches and migraine symptoms. In my opinion, a room should never be occupied immediately after such work has been completed. Our swim-up terrace also presented a serious safety issue. The floor became extremely slippery when wet. Both I and our young daughter fell multiple times. Our daughter even hit her head. When we called reception asking for an ice pack, nobody seemed to understand what we needed and ice only arrived about two hours later. Another major issue was the complete lack of shade on our terrace. This was not simply a comfort issue. I have a sun allergy and there have been fatal cases of melanoma in my family. We therefore created a very small temporary shade solution ourselves. Rather than discussing possible solutions with us directly, management called our room, waking our sleeping daughter, and later sent a formal warning letter demanding its removal. We immediately complied and removed the shade. However, the following day TUI representatives visited our room and informed us that even the remaining clothesline had to be removed and that continued use could lead to us being removed from the hotel. This was particularly frustrating because we used it to dry our clothing and reusable nappies during a 21-night stay. Even worse, throughout the rest of our holiday we repeatedly saw other guests using clotheslines and drying clothing on their terraces without any intervention whatsoever. This created a strong feeling that we were being treated differently. To make matters more confusing, during checkout a receptionist asked: "Why didn't they give you a drying rack?" Which immediately raises the question why such a simple solution was never offered before the situation escalated. We also received incorrect information about an excursion promotion. We were specifically told the discounted price would still be available the next day. When we returned to pay, we were charged the higher price instead. An apology was given but the difference was not refunded. Because we were forced to remove our shade without being offered any alternative, I even had to buy additional sunscreen during the holiday for health reasons. Families with very young children should also know the following: • Food options for toddlers and very young children were surprisingly limited. • We never found the small glass baby food jars often available in family-focused resorts. • There were no small child-sized spoons available, only large soup spoons. • There were not enough high chairs during busy periods and sometimes families had to wait. • The children's splash area is not ideal for very young toddlers. The shallow pool is already around 45 cm deep and features a large tipping bucket that empties every 30 seconds. For small children this felt excessive. A longer interval would be much more comfortable. • There is no dedicated shallow paddling pool where very young children can safely crawl and play. Another observation: guests who tipped regularly often appeared to receive noticeably faster service and extra attention. While this is not unusual in Egypt, it was noticeable. That said, after seeing how some management interactions were handled, I honestly felt sorry for many of the hardworking employees. Most staff members genuinely deserved more appreciation than they seemed to receive. To make matters worse, our stroller and travel bag were damaged during the return flight and are now unusable. The resort itself is beautiful. The beach is lovely. Many employees work extremely hard and do their best every day. However, for a hotel marketed and priced as a luxury five-star resort, the maintenance standards, room condition, family facilities for very young children and especially the management approach fell far below expectations. Would we return? Unfortunately not. The staff deserve 5 stars. The management experience deserves 1 star.

Fabulous holiday from start to finish staff, food, drinks everything was perfect My husband is disabled but still managed to go with me while l snorkelled which he loved. My cleaner was Armed who always left our room very clean 😊 Staff in all the restaurants again really helpful and friendly. Will be back next year

We come to sharm twice a year and Coral Sea has become our go to, the resort has everything you need and is great both as a couple & for our family. You can’t really fault anything hear the staff are great and go out of their way for you in everyway they can. We’d like to give Mahmoud the gym supervisor a special mention also as he’s been great, very knowledgeable and cares about his job a lot you can see by the way he works with his clients and helps them anyway he can

We spent 10 nights at Sensatori Coral Sea, and I wanted to get some personal training at the gym there. Mahmoud was so helpful and personally trained both me and my husband on 8 of our 10 days. He is very experienced and showed me each exercise and ensured I did it the correct way. He showed me how to warm up and cool down at the end of each session. He was so good that he helped me plan a variation of workouts for when I’m at home. Could no recommend Mahmoud enough. He is also very friendly and funny. We will definitely return to train with him again.
