Defintley not a 5 star hotel, more 3 star. We went as a family and had a great holiday. The rooms were lovely even though the bathrooms were dated. They were cleaned every day and were spotless. The housekeeping team works so hard. There were plenty of pools and sunbeds and the grounds were well maintained. There are plenty of bars, toilets and outside seating places around the hotel. The animation team were excellent around rhe main pool with their energy, range of daily activities, and getting everyone involved. Loved rhe foam, and the pool party on a thursday night was brilliant. Staff from bar staff, house keeping, lifeguards, towel stations, restuarant staff were animation, were fantastic. We had fun in the aqua park and loved the kids pools down there. Mamhood the lifeguard was fantastic and so were the bar staff who couldnt do enough for you. The night time shows in the amphitheatre were not very good. However the live singers outside waves bar were really good and had everyone up dancing. The hotel reception bar was also a lovely relaxing bar to sit in and have a drink. The hotel location is between soho square and naama bay and about 15 mins drive to old market square, 20 mins to the hotels beach. Soho square is more upmarket compared to naama bay, but both worth worth a visit. Naama bay was my favourite. Loved the vibe. Its also far cheaper if you like you creams and toothpastes to take home. The hotel shop is expensive for drinks and snacks so walk out the front of the hotel and go right for 10 mins and you will come to mango market and on the next block bassum supermarket that is so cheap. Maccies is also there. Pharmacies are also there if you need to get antinal if you have an upset stomach. 52egp for 24 tablets. We done ras mohammed and white island boat trip, and ras mohammed half day trip. Both were amazing and Highly recommend. However we booked them with outside excursions as the hotel prices were expensive. We saved £20 per person on each trip doing this. My big negative was the food. The food is not catered for the british even though half the people there were British . The British food was was nuggets and fries, and on the snack bars in the afternoon pizza and burger. I struggled most lunches and evenings as I didnt have a clue what they were, and didnt look appetising. There was also not alot to choose from. It was very repetitive. They did have pasta stations outside which were really nice, but didnt want to eat that every night. We booked Italian al a carte one night. It was ok. The Indian was really nice. A negative was you can only use them once during your stay . They were empty, which is a shame. Another hotel ive been to, you could use al a carte as many times as tou wanted to, and the restuarants were ful. Maccies was visited a few times, and also ate on La Rosa in naame bay , and the queen vic in soho square. Both lovely meals. Another negative was your all inclusive band being cut off when you check out 12pm and being given a white one for lunch and soft drinks till 2pm. In hotels ive stayed in before in egypt my band has never been cut off and restrict me from things i have paid for in my booking. If your on a night flight, which most British flights are, you cant eat or drink and have to get it from elsewhere. Overall loved the holiday Another negative was you get a peice of paper in your room on your last day with prices on if you want to keep you room on. However when you goto reception to do that, they then tell you that is per person. Absolutely rip off. The things like this, bands being cut off and you cant foos or drink till your pick up, will stop people booking again in the future.

I genuinely do not know where to begin because there were so many problems during our stay. I have stayed at another all-inclusive resort in Egypt before, so I have something to compare this with. Unfortunately, this resort fell very far below the standard I expected. The resort itself is huge, with attractive grounds, several pools and an Aqua Park. It looks impressive from the outside and is relatively close to the airport. Unfortunately, the problems become obvious once you actually stay there. Our first room was a huge family-style room with three beds despite being two people. We moved the following morning, but both rooms had similar issues. The bathrooms smelled unpleasant and looked poorly cleaned. There was heavily discoloured grout, cracks, a visibly stained toilet and dirty glass around the edges. We had to ask the cleaner to clean the bathroom again. Ironically, the toilet had a sticker saying it had been “cleaned and sanitised”. The resort may be old, but age is not the problem. Poor maintenance and inadequate cleaning are. THE FOOD This was the biggest problem. The buffet was supposedly all-inclusive, yet staff controlled portions, particularly meat and other proteins. Asking for more could result in looks and an attitude that made you feel guilty for wanting food. I paid for an all-inclusive holiday. I should not feel uncomfortable asking for another portion. The food was often bland and unappealing. On several occasions, chicken and beef tasted sour or questionable. Some chicken appeared to contain sand or grit, and some beef appeared undercooked. After eating at the resort, I developed severe watery diarrhoea lasting several days. I cannot medically confirm the cause, and my boyfriend did not become ill, but the food and hygiene concerns we personally witnessed made me seriously question the food-handling standards. At the outdoor cooking station, I saw utensils reused between different ingredients, including potentially allergenic foods, with utensils placed on the counter and reused. The cooking area was also exposed to dust and sand. The “all-inclusive” experience felt heavily restricted. We were not allowed to take food back to our room. Even ice cream was limited to small cones, and we were told we could not use a bowl for a larger serving. Fresh juice was also sold separately beside the buffet. It felt less like hospitality and more like rationing and monetising everything. AQUA PARK & FIRST AID The Aqua Park was genuinely fun, but I injured my knee and elbow on a slide. My knee became swollen and painful, the injury bled and I later noticed discharge. What concerned me most was what happened afterwards. We asked for first aid and were sent between receptions. The first aid box was almost empty, containing only basic items such as plasters, gauze, iodine and tape. There were no gloves and nobody properly assessed my injury. The box was essentially handed to us to deal with ourselves. For a large resort with multiple pools and an Aqua Park, I expected proper first aid arrangements and trained staff. Nobody followed up or checked how I was afterwards. CUSTOMER SERVICE The overall hospitality was poor. Communication was frequently abrupt and focused on what guests could not do. I have stayed at another Egyptian resort, so I know this is not simply “how Egypt is”. The difference was enormous. The final straw was checkout. Our flight was at 10 p.m. and checkout was at noon. We were passed between approximately four people while repeatedly explaining our situation, eventually being told that just two extra hours would cost $50. Even after explaining that I had been injured on the resort premises, there was little consideration. FINAL VERDICT There were positives: the resort is large, the grounds are attractive, the Aqua Park was fun before my injury, and the seafood à la carte restaurant was better than the buffet. But beautiful grounds cannot compensate for poor cleanliness, questionable food hygiene, inadequate first aid and poor guest care. A holiday is not a photograph. You have to sleep in the room, use the bathroom, eat the food, interact with staff and feel safe when something goes wrong. For me, this resort failed where it mattered most. I would give 0 stars if I could. Even 1 star feels generous. I would not recommend this resort. If cleanliness, food hygiene, guest safety and basic hospitality matter to you, I would seriously consider looking elsewhere.
