Citymax Hotel Business Bay

Just stayed two nights and it’s my personal experience that the hotel looks super busy specially in the lobby in the reception. All I can I was very pleased by Front office guys and their hospitality. Shot out to Mr Sanjay, who was super busy with bunches of people in front of him and still he managed the queue very professionally with a smiling face always. This review is specially for him and such a highly professional guy. Thank you Mr Sanjay, and If I’ll be back it’ll be all because of you.

I had a wonderful stay The location was perfect . And the staff made us feel completely at home Thanks to Lovely at reception for being consistent of being a good and friendly staff. The housekeeping are really good in their job. Thank you again

Staff were not welcoming and the service was poor overall. Nothing about this hotel gave 4 stars -- I just stayed in another 3-star hotel the weekend before that was miles better in terms of service, cleanliness, beds and overall feel. Both my friend and I had been given late checkout at 2pm, only for front desk to call both of us (my friend at noon and myself at 1pm) that we need to check out. I explained that I had been given late checkout at 2pm, and the man working at the front desk didn't believe me and said they "don't give 2pm checkouts"... While I understand it may have been a mistake of the woman who checked us in, a 2pm checkout had been promised and agreed on so it is extremely unprofessional for the staff to take this out on the customer, rather than taking it up privately with the staff member concerned. The man kept insisting about the checkout, and ended the call by simply stating "I will look into this" -- once again not the right way to handle the situation at all, and left an extremely bad impression of the hotel for me. Also, no one came to make up the room during my stay (2 nights Friday-Sunday).

After staying for nearly two months at Citymax Hotel Business Bay, I can say that this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had, despite my extensive travels between the USA, Dubai, and other countries. The only positive aspect of this hotel is the friendly reception staff and the affordable prices. Unfortunately, the overall service and hotel standards do not reflect what should be expected from a four-star hotel. Housekeeping service was extremely poor. Requests for basic items such as shampoo, towels, or water or cleaning often had to be repeated six or seven times before receiving any response. Room cleaning was inconsistent, sometimes delayed for several days, and even when housekeeping arrived, the cleaning quality was below acceptable standards. Basic room checks were clearly not being done properly. The gym was also disappointing. It was frequently dirty, and some machines were occasionally out of order. Guests often had to personally report maintenance issues instead of staff proactively managing them. The breakfast and food quality were another major issue. Unless you order food separately from inside , the available meals are very poor in quality. Salads often appeared old, as if they had been prepared the previous day, and overall food standards were far below expectations. While the hotel promotes itself as a four-star property, my experience felt far from that standard. The low prices may attract guests initially, but the lack of cleanliness, poor housekeeping, weak maintenance, and low food quality make it difficult for me to recommend this hotel. This will definitely be my last stay here, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it to others
