Great experience in the spa the therapists Rumby and Sasi were amazing. The only thing that ruined our experience is we were over charged and given a gift card for the difference as a refund could not be done for some reason.

I stayed at the Sofitel Palm at the end of August. It was my first time staying here and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The staff and service was excellent and the standard I have come to expect as normal for Dubai. There were many pools and well attended by lifeguards. The beach was clean and well kept. In particular I would like to call out the following experiences: Great service from Shahid at World Eatery. Very attentive service and would highly recommend Nang and Sebastian at Porter House who looked after us for my birthday dinner. Umesh and Teja at the buffet restaurant, again great service. Helen and. Charnie from the Spa who helped my mum to get in the hydrotherapy pool. Went above and beyond and physically got in with her as she struggled to get in and out by herself due to a knee injury. I would perhaps suggest changing the ladder as its not convenient for older people to climb down into the pool. Helen and Charnie went above and beyond and made sure my mum did not miss out on the hydrotherapy pool. Mosaraf- Pool and Beach staff- no request was too big. Great service and was always happy to help even in the August heat he had a smile. Rajni at Maui beach restaurant - very friendly and service was exceptional. Went out of her way to order food from the room service menu as my mum wasn’t feeling well and wanted soup which wasnt on the Maui restaurant menu. Thank you to Meryl for the best massage. She has magical hands and has an amazing technique. Honestly never felt so relaxed and probably one of the best massages I’ve ever had and I have had a lot! The only negatives was that check in wasn't great. It felt rushed and the resort wasn't explained properly, i.e where things were located. We arrived early at the hotel, in time for breakfast and we had to pay for this. At other hotels breakfast has been complimentary especially since we paid for half board and then upgraded to full board. You would think the hotel could accomadate one days free breakfast which was disappointing. Another negative is the location, you feel quite isolated due to the location. The hotel is on the northern tip of the palm and there are no shops within walking distance other than the couple that are onsite on the hotel (which are expensive). You need to have a car or get taxis to go out. As long as you know this when you book your stay then the location shouldn't be an issue. All in all a good stay. I went with my son and mother and we all agreed that we loved the stay which was made even better because of the kindness an friendliness of all the staff.
