Amazones Village Suites

A little gem we found as last minute holiday, built on a mountain side so steep in some places . A walk of 200 meters where they drop you off bit much as there is a turning area for minibuses also it's all uphill. We were in the annexe which needs a little tlc and to get to the reception and tge facilities a bit of a uphill climb but views are good. Good swimming pool with enough sunbeds throughout the day, The breakfast buffet is very nice and plenty of it , plus their main menu during the day is varied and good value. The drinks are varied and they bring them to your sunbed, and if you fancy something to eat then the terrace is a great place with parasols and great views of the sea. George the owner was very accommodating with everyone. Good barbecue as a special and a meze once a week plentiful food. Overall a grwat holiday with good people running it and made friends as well. The cap it off the village a shot distance away has great selection of restaurants and supermarkets.

Our stay at Amazones Village Suites was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The hotel offers breathtaking views, spacious and comfortable suites, and a peaceful atmosphere that perfectly captures the charm of Crete. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help, making us feel at home throughout our stay. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the breakfast. Every morning we enjoyed an amazing selection of fresh and delicious food, including local specialties, freshly baked pastries, fruits, eggs, and excellent coffee. The variety was impressive, and everything was beautifully presented and replenished regularly. Starting the day with such a fantastic breakfast while enjoying the stunning views was a real treat. The pool area is beautiful, the surroundings are well maintained, and the location is ideal for exploring the traditional villages and nearby attractions. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and attention to detail. Amazones Village Suites exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Crete. We can’t wait to return!

What a little last minute gem we picked! Set up in the hills, just a 200m walk down to a little trip with fabulous bars, tavernas and shops but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet whilst also having enough ‘life’ in the accommodation itself to keep us entertained. The breakfast was a wonderful selection and the à la carte menu for lunch and dinner was hot, fresh and delicious. All of the staff without exception were polite, efficient and lovely. The room was clean and large, although a little dated, but if you only need it to freshen up and sleep, then this is not an issue. Views were excellent and the pool was so clean and inviting (although a little cold for me in May) 😆 A great bolthole for a visit to the beautiful island of Crete!

Lovely holiday at Amazons 2nd visit this time 3 weeks, lovely ambiance Beautiful Breakfast freshly baked pies and cakes different variety everyday gardens pool area immaculate staff are brilliant and very hard working, beautiful views everything you would want in Greece 😎

Excellent in every way. The breakfasts were consistently superb, the staff friendly and appreciative, the accommodation was spacious, with a magnificent view of Hersonissos and the cleaners visited daily. Special mentions to Daria for her smiles and superb breakfasts, and to Nikos for his excellent assistance and suggestions. We will be back - sooner the better!
