Atlantica Kalliston Resort & Spa

We really love this hotel. Probably the best hotel we stayed at. The staff is very friendly and we had a lovely room with a balcony facing the pool and sea. It was so convenient to go for a swim in the sea which was very warm and come back to swim in the pool. We only had bed and breakfast as there are lots of restaurants around the hotel within a few minutes walk and we wanted to contribute to the cretan economy. However we did go and eat at the greek restaurant once and it was lovely. You have to book in advance as it gets quickly booked. The breakfast was plentiful with pasties, cakes, fresh fruits, cook food and i love the Cretan island where we could taste cretan food. Get from reception the list of events and activities for the week as it is not given automatically to you at the hotel when you arrive. We played Molkky and ladder toss with Tania. She is very pleasant and very experienced. She was also in charge of yoga, Aquafit and boules. We enjoyed playing the games with her at 10 o’clock every morning. On your arrival you will find a free bottle of wine, fresh fruits and bottles of water and we received every morning free bottle of water. Very easy to go to Chania using bus 21 that stops in front of the hotel. The tickets can be bought on the bus or for a reduced price at the shop in front of the hotel. We enjoyed the tasting coach tour and going on a lttle cruise to a small island in front of the port of Chania. Many thanks to the staff who made such an effort to ensure we enjoyed our stay in the hotel.

Our 2nd time at this hotel and it was even better than we remembered. Reasons for coming: Really comfortable and stylish rooms Good and varied food Clean pools simply everywhere Proper spa treatments A pristine sandy beach with very few stones and water clear enough to see the fish - the best beach we have experienced in Crete Reasons for coming back: The staff - every single person we met but in particular: Christina ( beach bar team) - one of our main reasons for coming back - SUPER efficient, top of her game, and a real smile that starts in the eyes first ! Maria and Marios - Italian and Greek restaurant - so professional and at the same time made us feel really welcome, like family- it’s a difficult balance to achieve but they did it. Costandina - outstanding - cleaned our room like my mum would have - never missed a thing. 5 stars. Mark - beach management- looks out for everyone to make sure they are ok and isn’t above doing tasks outside his remit if it makes people happy - a real team player Guest services team - from reception to the local management included - delightful and helpful people. Give them the info they need to make your holiday even more special and they will meet the challenge. I was celebrating after a cancer scare and they made us feel like we were on cloud nine. This place is exceptional! Wonderful beach location & close to Chania town. We have never found a hotel that oozes "return" but this must be it! Went All Inclusive & it was really good value - the speciality restaurant food is stunning.

My husband and I had a great and relaxing time here. I took the sunset yoga and the morning yoga on the deck and the teachers were wonderful. Tania was sweet, polite, and friendly as well as a good yoga teacher. She made my experience even better! Thanks for a great time!

Having just spent 11 days at the Atlantica Kalliston Resort we feel that it would be remiss not to write a review as this hotel, but especially its staff, is amazing. We were looking for somewhere special to celebrate a 65th birthday and we were not disappointed as this hotel exceeded all our expectations. We booked half board with a sea view room and from arriving very late one evening until we departed everything was to our liking. Room, view, facilities, cleanliness, food & drink, staff etc We ate once at the Greek and Italian restaurants that were ok, but for us the food and service at the buffet restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was always varied as well as being of excellent quality. We spent time on the beach and by both pools throughout our holiday where the sun beds were extremely comfortable and always available. However, what really made this hotel so special was definitely the staff, who always went out of their way to make our stay most enjoyable. Would we recommend this hotel? Most definitely.
