Aquila Rithymna Beach

Our 6th year coming here and once again a fantastic time was had by my wife and I - heading home today 5th June with more memories. Too many people thank from the bar staff , restaurant staff , spa people and of course our maid Lena We are back here same time next year and cannot wait Just a couple of points to hopefully help the staff in lobby bar who work so hard to keep everyone happy 1. Put a notice on the passé area where table staff collect drinks , customers should not stand there , if they are not sitting down around bar then take a seat 2. When it’s busy normally 8:30-10pm have one bar member concentrate on the people sitting round the bar and rest do the table drinks ( do think you could do with two more table staff ) this is not a moan from me but some people have very little patience - once again thank you for the memories see you next year

We visited the hotel for a half-term break with my wife and children and we had an absolutely brilliant time. The hotel is situated about an hour or so away from Heraklion airport and the transfer was easy, if a bit long. You're about 10 mins drive from town about €7 in a taxi which can be booked from reception. The facilities at the hotel were great too including 4 restaurants (one of which was a la carte), a bistro, a coffee shop, 2 bars, 4 pools including an indoor one in the spa, the waterpark and direct access to the beach. The hotel also includes activities throughout the day and a well equipped kids club although we didn't actually use that service. We had a garden view family room. The decor was a little dated but by no means a deal breaker - room was clean, beds were comfy, water pressure was good and there was enough space. The atmosphere at the hotel was relaxed and this is where it really shone - the staff were fantastic. So friendly and genuinely took pride in providing the best experience for their guests. Particularly want to shout out to Stelios (the sommelier) and Evangelia in the Italian restaurant whose service was always above and beyond. Have to mention the food too which was always fresh, delicious and plentiful. Already looking to re-book for next year.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and can only highly recommend it. First of all, the hotel itself is excellent: everything is very clean and well maintained, from the rooms to the common areas. The infrastructure is really impressive—very large and designed to accommodate all types of guests. The waterpark is a highlight, especially for families, and offers plenty of fun options. The swimming pools were also perfect: always clean, with water at an ideal temperature, making them enjoyable at any time of the day. Food is another strong point. There was a great variety available, with something for everyone. The quality and quantity were both very satisfying. What really makes the difference, however, is the staff. Everyone is extremely pleasant and welcoming—wherever you go, people greet you with a smile and a friendly “hello,” which creates a very warm atmosphere throughout the stay. A special mention goes to the FRAM animation team, who were absolutely fantastic. They made a real effort to keep guests engaged and entertained, always finding solutions and organizing activities—even when the weather wasn’t favorable. Their dedication and energy were remarkable, and it clearly made a big difference to the overall experience. We would also like to give special thanks to Andrea from the kids club, who organized great activities for the children every morning, and to Cassandra for her excellent yoga and stretching sessions. Both contributed a lot to making our stay both fun and relaxing. We also participated to additional sports activities through VERTIKAL (vertikal.world), including running or gorge hiking sessions, which added even more variety for active guests. Overall, the whole team truly goes the extra mile for their clients, and it shows. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back.

Our 2nd time at this hotel as a family, and we came back purely for the kids club, but didn’t expect to have an even better holiday than the first time. We have children 4 and 7, and the kids club is literally perfect- all outdoors and the staff are exceptional, genuinely caring and entertaining. It’s so flexible too with it being in the centre of the resort and part of the package. What really made it better this time was upgrading out accommodation to Mythica. The benefits were amazing, you are treated like a ViP and the all inclusive is outstanding. Five star meals (not buffet) We spent a day at Baja beach club down the road and also spent a bit of time at the local bars too plus a short taxi (7 euros) into Rethymnon. Special shout out to George who is there it seems all day every day with the biggest smiles. He is the star of the hotel and made it feel very special. We will be back.
