Ariadne Beach

I really enjoyed my 15 min massage with Georgia. They are very professional in the spa and I enjoyed unwinding properly before the beach. I would recommend:)

Relaxing stay at this hotel. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Food (buffet, all-inclusive) was great, including plenty of options for vegetarians. Wine a bit rough. Could do with more sun loungers around the pool, and more of the comfortable ones! We stayed in one of the older blocks (room 71) and the interior and bathroom and looking very tired and could do with an update.

My first time in Crete and we could not have picked a better hotel. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. We were fortunate to have been given an upgrade to a suite and were driven a short distance by golf cart with our luggage. The accommodation is slightly hilly, however we found it easy enough to walk to. They emphasise if you ever need transport to just phone reception. Breakfast is amazing with plenty of room both inside and by the pool. Plenty of choice however I would have preferred a manual juice press to make your own orange juice. There is an electric juice maker however there is a charge for this. I will certainly return, the island and people are lovely. There is a Hotel restaurant down by the beach, again this is fantastic. Snacks can be purchased while on your sunbed and is very good value. The staff are all great and nothing is too much trouble. There is a gym which is adequate and was never busy. I got up at 07:00 each morning and swam in the sea prior to breakfast. It is only a short walk and really sets you up for the day. The beach directly by the Hotel consists of pebbles, you definitely need swimming shoes, however a short distance away is a sandy beach. Would 1005 recommend this Hotel.

It is a very nice hotel. About 150 rooms, adult only, which is nice. Spacious rooms. Nice view over the sea. Towels for pool and beach are available. Food is good. Location about 10 minutes walk from town center.

I've never been to a 4 star hotel where AI drinks stop at 10.45pm and you have to pay. I've also never been to a hotel where they take your wrist band off at check out & if you have 4 hours until your airport transfer they make you pay for lunch and drinks. The money you spend, they can't even offer you a last meal before you travel 12 hours home. They penny pinched at every opportunity. Trying to get another drink at lunch or dinner was hard work. The food was beyond mediocre for a 4*, having travelled to Kos, Zante, Cyprus, Rhodes, etc, it was the poorest buffet im terms of taste, flavours and the choices I have ever experienced. The cocktails are cheap and syrupy. It is supposed to be adults only, you pay more for this premium but somehow it is allowed for a greek family to sit in the bar in the evening with their child watching the football? The restaurant attached, is also very poor. We were given a voucher for 10% off if we wanted to eat there. I've always had 1 a la carte per week free at every Tui 4* hotel, not here. We went on our last day before pick-up, the stuffed vine leaved are clearly made days before and then re- heated. They were chewy and disgusting, the worst I've ever tasted. The pool does not have enough sun loungers, if you go across to the beach, they charge you €15 a day and the man appears to be from the hotel-attached restaurant, despite it being a public beach. It felt like every opportunity to take more money from guests and to offer a limited mediocre service. Not 1 member of staff stood out or made the service exceptional, like we have experienced at every other 4* or greek hotel we have travelled to. The room was very run down, the bathroom looked like it had 20years of grime, was very old and needs upgrading. The room we had, was one of the blue railings snd was very small. The maid service was very slap-dash and the floor remsined dirty every day. We witnessed a poor young girl on holiday with her parents, get hit hard in the back hard by a parasol that hadn't even been secured properly. If they can cut corners, they will. Agios Nikoloas town is around 12 minutes walk, has a beautiful lake and a good selection of shops . We ate out there several times throughout our stay, mainly to get away from the hotel. Crete was lovely, we went to Spinalonga Island and also did the 4.5hr tour on the land train at the harbour. We would return to Crete again but definately this hotel. This is a basic 3* hotel. Do not be fooled by positive reviews. I am so fair with my trip advisor reviews and would not want anyone to be disappointed thinking there will get a 4* hotel or 4* service.
