Honestly I’m not sure what people see in this hotel. 2 and half days in and things just keep getting worse and now at the end it wasn’t the best experience. So we travelled with Jet2 (and so far can’t fault them to be honest) but the hotel… my gosh! If you have any sense or standards or luxury then this place is definitely not for you and your family. So I travel a lot and stayed at 4* and 5* and honestly this should be a 2*… 3* at best! We upgraded to a swim up room. My party was a family of 4. Room: Small is an understatement. More suited for a “couple” not a family of 4! You only get 2 sun loungers (so where are the other 2 going to sit/lay?). Also they are so wobbly I’m not sure they will even hold an humans weight. The steps/ladder out of the pool is falling apart and missing rubber end safety caps. Our room only got the sun for approx 2-3 hours of the day. By mid day it was gone from our lounger and pool area. If you like showering in the dark… you will love this room! Beds - the double bed is 2 singles pushed together with the hardest mattress topper laid on top which is a poor attempt of stopping you falling down the middle. Cleaning… ok I guess but you don’t get water replaced (first time I’ve experienced at an all inclusive!). Instead they expected you to buy bottled water from the onsite shop which prices are massively over inflated. I have ALWAYS had bottles of water replaced at all inclusive hotels. Oh cleaners like to leave trolleys and hoovers in the hall way outside your room, all day and night - so if you fancy doing the cleaning yourself you’re welcome to! If you’re on the ground floor expects ants in your room. TVs in the room didn’t work and the WiFi throughout the hotel is a bit hit and miss. Pool - well this is just a free for all! Sun loungers are horrible to lay on and reserved from 6:30am! Hotel does nothing on reserved loungers that lay empty for half the day! There is also not enough umbrellas! At one pool they run a 18-30 style party with music pumping out like your at a nightclub first thing in the morning at 10am. The amount of balls being thrown in the pool is a joke too. If you’re not getting hit in the head, your doing matrix moves in the pool to avoid all the balls! Deffo more people at the hotel than sun loungers so no clue what you do if you can’t get a lounger or where to go - maybe the beach, but even that was busy. Drinks - OK I guess although if you wanna go wild in the evenings their “paid for” cocktails list beats the 3 or 4 cocktails on the all inclusive list. For a place that advertises as a “family” resort… you got to pay for slushes for the kids - 3.50 euros for a small cup! Go to SENSEANA Sea Side Resort & Aquadventure and everything is fully ALL INCLUSIVE. You can’t fill your own cup from the soda machines - If you do you get shouted at by restaurant staff who are rude and clearly don’t want to be there. Water park - don’t be fooled by the pictures! It’s rubbish and if you go with kids make sure they are all over the age of 10 otherwise they aren’t allowed on the slides (something that is NOT listed on the booking site!). Once you’ve been on all 5 slides, not sure what else there is to do. Food - meh… is ok. Nothing amazing to report there. Typical buffet food to which hot food is cold. Restaurant - the main buffet area is a free for all. Although they have staff at the door welcoming you in that’s where the friendliness ends. Staff pushing trolleys around with food on and they stop at nothing - children or adults. I even witnessed one working pretty much running into a child with a trolley only to carry on walking and smiling about it. The Greek restaurant which is included once during your visit is “OK”. While the food comes out hot and brought to you… it’s the same food that’s in the buffet restaurant - just better presentation. Service I thought was slow throughout the dinner. From what I witnessed and not saying all the staff but a high percentage of them do not care about guests. Saying that, the bar staff are pretty good! Location - rubbish. There is NOTHING near the hotel. On site spa - I don’t think really has anything to do with the hotel. They were pretty good and the price is decent. Efi provided good service and she’s very good at what she does. All in all, I will NOT be returning to this hotel. There are some amazing hotels in Crete that are better and offer a much better and higher level of service for pretty much the same money - so look around! This place needs to step up their game and also spend a bit of money to repair and make better the basics.
We first came here this year (June2026), my husband and son(9) for 10 nights. We absolutely loved it here. The food is definitely amazing. The themed nights are brilliant and so much choice. The staff can’t do enough for you. The front desk is very helpful in anything that is needed. The rooms are very well kept and are super clean. The pools are kept tidy. The pool bar staff are amazing and friendly especially lovely Voula she is such a kind and always a happy person. Sophia who is the lovely lady that welcomes you with her beautiful smile at the dining hall. The bars have very different feels to them is in some are chilled out and quiet and the terrace bar is for the nighttime entertainment. The hotel go above and beyond to help with anything. We actually loved it that much the I brought my father and my son back here 9 weeks later for a cheeky 5 night stay this August. So when we came back in August the hotel realised I had visited a short while ago and sent a bottle of wine with a fruit platter to our room as a thank you for your loyalty gesture.. It was such a beautiful thought. But while I was there in August it was my birthday, so they sent up another bottle of wine with a fruit platter and this time a birthday cake. They didn’t need to do that but it was very much appreciated. It’s definitely the lovely things like that make me definitely return next year…. Thank you Akti Zeus…
We have been to Atlantica Zeus in Amoudara many times and we love very much The food is amazing many choices and rhe food is fresh and delicious every day.On the evening they have also different nights Asian night anad fish night Greek end the food is amazing!!!!!That's one of the main reasons we keep coming back. The hotel is super clean and the staff is very friendly. And the Animation Team is the best! So much energy fun activities kids club and great evening shows. Special thanks to Vlada from the animation team, she is fantastic with kids and always smiling she has a hart for kids !!!!. She made our holiday perfect but also the other staff . Thsi hotel will make you holiday by perfect really. Special thanks to Vlada !! And all the ather staf .
We stayed here with 3yo and had a wonderful time. I cannot comment on the location as we were so relaxed there we did not end up leaving the hotel! The beach is perfect and we had no problems getting sunloungers. The pool area did get busy but always managed to get a space. The food was plentiful and could not fault it, lots of choice and variation- would definitely recommend the waffle house for waffles and crepes - they became our afternoon treat. We went all inclusive and although not all drinks are included there is something for everyone. Room and public areas spotless and the staff are friendly. The elephant in the room is the power station which is in close proximity to the hotel. Our room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the sea so we did not notice it but it is visible from the beach if you look in one direction. However it did not disturb or put a dampener on a wonderful week.
So this is a fabulous hotel. Overall fabulous but a few minor issues. We have had a fantastic stay here. It is a beautiful hotel. The stand out is the food which is truly outstanding. Huge congratulations to the chefs - honestly just fabulous food! Also the staff in the restaurant work incredibly hard and are lovely. Sofia at the entrance is exceptional. She is lovely with everyone, handling queues superbly. She is worth her weight in gold. The cleaning staff are exceptionally lovely too. The pools are wonderful , the beach front and sunloungers and sunshades are great. A few niggles: having to pay 25 euros a week to use the safe in your room, water not replaced in your room, people leaving towels on sunloungers then never appearing , Some Reception staff (unlike everyone else) are off hand bordering on rude and give misleading advice about locations of amenities to try to get you to use taxis. Overall though, a fantastic hotel.
