Atlantica Amalthia Beach

A wonderfully clean and comfortable hotel, with extremely friendly, courteous and professional staff.

Fabulous holiday at this hotel and location. Hotel facilities were clean, modern and perfect to accommodate a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Staff were outstanding from our welcome, to cleaning, to hospitality. Individuals went above and beyond on a number of occasions. Tasty and varied breakfast. Great location overall. Could swap between swimming in sea or well maintained and accessible warms pools. Easy to get around locally. Plenty of local restaurants and bars of good quality either on the beach or in town. Rooms were dark, quiet and comfortable. Quiet air conditioning. Beds were comfortable and they provided alternative pillows upon request. Rooms had hairdryer, coffee machine, clothes steamer, fridge, safe etc. The only negative comment (although we knew before we booked) was the charge of 15 euros per day per couple for a sunbed, of poor quality, on the beach. Saved by the close proximity to the pool sunbeds which were the best we have have ever had. Would happily recommend to family and friends.

Everything was excellent throughout our stay Friendly, professional and helpful staff that effortlessly made our stay special. The pool area, sunbeds and a bar across the street was very relaxing. The restaurant overlooking the beach serving delicious dishes consistently. The room and resort was always very clean and maintained. We would definitely stay here again in the future. The only slight negative was the room we stayed in, the couch which was a sofa bed was quite uncomfortable to sit on, and we had 2 single beds joined together rather than a double bed. However we were hardly in our room so this didn't impact our experience at all.

We arrived at the hotel on 27th May and stayed for 1 week. Apon arrival, staff very friendly and made us feel welcomed and comfortable after a long day of travelling. The hotel room was a reasonable size with a veranda to a shared garden area. Food and drink in the hotel was prepared and served to a very high standard. Breakfast buffet selection was amazing. The beach is very clean and a perfect area for nice soft sand, the sea was calm by the hotel but further round the beach was a bit more "wavey". The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels and bedding every second day. The hotel has 3 pools and we spend most of our time at the pool over the bridge and upstairs. Very relaxing and quiet. During our stay my partner and i got engaged on the beach at the hotel, which was amazing and then the staff at the bar celebrated with us. Absolutely beautiful hotel and fantastic service all-round! We are sad to be leaving but both agree that we will definetly come back.

We could not have picked a better hotel. We would rate everything 5*. The location was great. A beautiful part of the coast, not too far from Chania airport. The atmosphere in the hotel, by the pool and on the beach was quiet and relaxed with quiet, non intrusive and decent music playing over speakers. The staff were all amazing and could not have done more for us. From the lady who booked us in on our arrival (it was lovely to be taken to our room too) to the breakfast staff, the waiters in the restaurant and Andrianna the attendant in the beach area who was a pleasure to talk to every day on the beach, such a friendly, and bubbly girl. The room was perfect and well cleaned every day, all the areas around the hotel complex were immaculate. The weeks stay was great value for money. An amazing holiday! We would definitely recommend.
