Atlantis Beach Hotel

I am waiting to be collected to be taken to the airport for my flight home, and I am already looking at rebooking for next year. I cannot find a single fault with this hotel at all. Every single person that I have encountered has been wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The first people I met were Chryssie and Nikos. They set the bar for the rest of my stay. All of the restaurant staff and cleaners went out of their way to help. I was lucky enough to have a room with a perfect view, it was so lovely to open the curtains in the morning and see it. The food and service have been worthy of the 5 stars. Its a pleasant 25-30 minute walk to the old town , or 7 euros by cab, which reception will gladly call. The beach is literally on the doorstep. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free of charge, and you are given towels for beach use. I am a solo female traveller, and always on my guard when away. But I cant impress enough how safe I felt here. Its a wonderful feeling. Thank you again Atlantis Beach for a truly lovely stay.

We recently stayed at the Atlantis Beach Hotel & Spa in Rethymno, and we were absolutely delighted with our experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed at reception and treated to a complimentary arrival drink—a lovely touch that immediately made us feel special. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay, and the food, service, and overall atmosphere were wonderful. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to a swim-out pool room, which made our stay even more enjoyable. It was such a lovely unexpected touch! A special mention must go to Angeliki at the buffet, who was an absolute sweetheart. Her warmth and kindness made us feel completely at home, and she truly went above and beyond. I also had a wonderful massage at the spa with Georgia, who was professional, attentive, and made the experience incredibly relaxing. I would highly recommend her! Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return to Atlantis Beach Hotel & Spa. Thank you to the entire team for making our time in Rethymno so enjoyable and memorable! ❤️🇬🇷 Bob & Foula

Great hotel and the staff is very nice and accommodating. In reception, Niko was very helpful and showed us around everywhere. Katerina at the beach very friendly and gave us a great service. Had a massage at the Lounge Spa with Georgia and it was excellent after the long flight :) Highly recommend!

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and were overall very satisfied with our experience. Pros: The hotel is very clean, and the rooms are modern and nicely furnished. The food was excellent, and we particularly appreciated the very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel — at reception, in the restaurant, housekeeping, and elsewhere. It was also great to have a smoke-free area in the outdoor restaurant. Room issue and excellent service: When we first entered our room, we noticed a very strong and unusual smell. We eventually discovered that it was coming from a drain in the bathroom and toilet area. We reported the problem to the reception, and the maintenance team tried to resolve it. Unfortunately, the smell could not be completely eliminated. The reception staff were extremely accommodating and immediately showed us two alternative rooms and offered us the possibility of changing rooms. Everything was handled smoothly and without any complications, and we really appreciated how helpful and responsive the reception team was. We decided to change rooms and were given a ground-floor room. However, we would generally recommend requesting a room on an upper floor. There are cats belonging to neighbours in the surrounding area, and they may occasionally find their way into ground-floor rooms. If this is not an issue for you, the ground-floor rooms are perfectly fine. However, if you do not want to take the risk of a cat entering your room during the night (or day), we would definitely recommend asking for a room on an upper floor. Cons: The beach umbrellas on the hotel beach are unfortunately not of the best quality, as they let quite a lot of sunlight through. Better-quality umbrellas and beds would make the beach area more comfortable. The pool can also feel rather small, especially when the hotel is busy and many guests — particularly children — are using inflatables such as donuts and air mattresses. This can make the pool feel quite crowded. A little bit of more storage capacity for clothes would sure be of advantage. One additional point we think the hotel could improve is noise management in the evenings. Guests should perhaps be informed that, after a certain time, they should keep conversations quiet and avoid making unnecessary noise on the way to their rooms. This would help ensure a more peaceful atmosphere for guests who want to sleep. Overall: Despite these minor issues, we had a very enjoyable stay. The cleanliness, modern rooms, excellent food, and especially the friendly and helpful staff made a very positive impression on us. The way reception handled our room problem was particularly commendable. With a few improvements, especially regarding the beach umbrellas, pool capacity, and nighttime noise, the experience could be even better.

We had such a great stay at Atlantis Beach Hotel and left with a big smile! The service was outstanding, and we felt so well taken care of the entire time.
