Bali Beach & Sofia Village

Worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Be warned the hotel is advertised as a village and that’s exactly what it is. 300+ rooms staggered between roads and up mountains. We were given the highest/furthest room away from main hotel area which was literally a hike up a mountain to get to. The all inclusive package is a joke too. We had one meal and half a beer each in the whole week we stayed here. It was cold, tasteless and most concerningly not labelled so we not sure what meat we actually ate. The electricity turned off for half a day in our room and on another day the water was off. Both times we trekked to reception to be told someone would be out soon and we’re still waiting now. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I would however recommend to destination. Lots of beautiful beaches, some very cute Greek cafes and restaurants and locals are lovely. Just stay away from the Bali and Sophia hotel.

Bali is a beautiful area with a really relaxed feel. The locals were extremely pleasant and there were lots of Tavernas and cafes. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with our recent all-inclusive holiday. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the hotel did not live up to the pictures and description provided on the booking website. What we had been led to expect and what we actually arrived to were two very different things. We were then shown to our room, which involved climbing what felt like 500 steps! Every time we wanted to return to our room, it was an exhausting climb, almost enough to give us both a heart attack. This really wasn’t what we had anticipated from a relaxing holiday. The room itself was very basic but comfortable enough. However, the housekeeping service left a lot to be desired. We were told that the bed linen would be changed twice a week, yet after four days I had to ask for fresh linen, clean towels and toilet roll. The towels and toilet roll were replenished, but I honestly cannot say that the bed linen was ever changed during our stay. The all-inclusive food was extremely poor. We ate in the restaurant twice before deciding to eat out for the remainder of our holiday, which completely defeated the purpose of booking an all-inclusive package. The dining room simply wasn’t big enough for the number of guests staying at the hotel. Frequently, there was nowhere to sit, and there were occasions when there wasn’t even enough cutlery or mugs available for guests to eat their food or make themselves a drink. The all-inclusive bar was another disappointing experience. When we ordered two vodka and Cokes, the drinks contained so much vodka that they were completely undrinkable. Surely the point of an all-inclusive bar is to provide enjoyable drinks, not to serve something that cannot be consumed? Overall, this holiday fell well below our expectations. Between the misleading impression created by the booking website, the exhausting access to our room, the lack of consistent housekeeping and the very poor food and drink facilities, we spent much of our holiday feeling frustrated and disappointed with our hotel choice. I would recommend Bali as a destination to visit but I would definitely not recommend this hotel!

Has to be the worst hotel I have ever visited rooms are dirty hotel is dirty restaurant is the size of my front room not bothered eating there at all food looks grim and apparently very cold drink service is shocking when they can be bothered to turn up to the bar pool bars close between 1-3 for a first for me tbh also shut early and when you try to get a drink before 6 they get the rite hump with you they suppose to close at 6 not seen a single table being cleaned around the bar areas the toilets are filthy and disgusting I could be here all night saying what’s wrong with this hotel but I will say the only upside is the views are beautiful and thankfully the local restaurants serve really nice food good service and very cheap I certainly would never recommend anyone to come here and I certainly would never return

excellent location with friendly staff and nice views. we reserved a mountain view room in Sofia village, it was spacious and clean. we had a pool there and a bar till 18.00pm

I recommend this hottel ! My family and I had a good time at this hotel , beautiful location , servis 10/10 !
