Blue Bay Resort

Lovely holiday, didn’t want to leave!!! The entertainment was lovely, Noah was great! The hotel room was really nice, good size and spacious. The beach was so close which was really practical, and the location is lovely. The scenery was serene and beautiful, we felt so relaxed the entire time. We were worried that it would feel overpacked due to the large capacity, but it is so well managed here. The staff are just brilliant! The restaurants were brilliant and we had some fabulous food. Thank you so much for an incredible stay!

We’ve just returned from a fantastic two-week family holiday at Blue Bay Resort in Crete and had a great time. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The staff were definitely one of the highlights of our stay — always friendly, helpful and happy to stop for a chat. By the end of the two weeks we’d got to know quite a few of the team and were genuinely sad to say goodbye! The hotel is in a beautiful location with amazing sea views and has a really relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, there were different pools and facilities to enjoy, and the entertainment was great fun. We also loved getting out and exploring some of the nearby beaches, restaurants and surrounding area. For a family of six, we thought it offered really good value for money and there was something for everyone to enjoy. What really makes Blue Bay special, though, is the people. The staff made us feel so welcome throughout our stay and played a huge part in making our holiday as enjoyable as it was. We came home with some brilliant family memories and would definitely recommend Blue Bay to others. We’d love to return one day! 🇬🇷❤️

The staff in the hotel were wonderful from the day we arrived. At check-in we were greeted by multiple friendly staff members who were clear around the details of our stay. There is also a porter to help if necessary. The staff were extremely helpful at all times. They are so accommodation and will go out of their way to help. We changed rooms on the second day. The room was listed as an executive room in the main building with a sea view. The photos and descriptions when booking didn’t make it clear but this was literally one room for myself and husband and the children. We wanted more privacy so upgraded to a ‘double room’. This was at a cost of €30 per day. The Peter moved all of our belongings for us. The views from the room (s) were stunning and the facilities in both rooms were good. The amenities were as described. The swimming pools were lovely and great for the whole family. The kids loved them. Sun beds were always available. The property was extremely comfortable overall, however there are a significant amount of steps so although there are lifts anyone with a mobility issue would struggle to get around. The overall look of the hotel was crisp and clean. Very stylish. The hotel is around an hour transfer from Heraklion. It’s quite remote once you get there but there is access to public transport. There is a supermarket nearby and a small shop on sight. We did not need to access this other as the all inclusive offered us all we needed. The all inclusive was a mixed bag. The food was superb! Great range and very high quality. Could not rate the food more highly. However the drink were somewhat disappointing. The description says includes local spirits. This is very literal. Only raki and ouzo were included alongside local beer and wine. Any other alcoholic beverages are at an additional cost. Also children were limited to things such as slushies in the daytime. This is my only real complaint. The kids clubs and entertainment packages are limited. But this did not spoil our holiday. The are a range of beaches nearby. One is in walking distance. Around a 10 minute walk. But this is up and down a very steep hill. The hotel offer a minibus service to this. The other beaches require a taxi or bus to get to. We did not go to any of the other beaches as they were not reviewed as being very child friendly. Due to lack of space to play. Overall we had a really lovely time and are considering a return.

Just returned from a lovely stay here! Solo parent with 3 children aged 17, 15 and 10. We all had a fab time. Food was great: lots of choices every day and something for everyone. Good range of snacks and drinks throughout the day. Easy to get around outside the resort both on local bus and by taxi (either arranged by hotel or using Freenow). Easy to pop down to Mononaftis Bay for a few hours for some fun beach/sea activities and souvenir shopping. Day, evening and kids club programme of activities was enjoyable. We had a late flight but checked out 11am, still with access to all facilities and meals until our 8.30pm transfer. Would gladly return!

We had an amazing holiday and a lot of that was down to this hotel. The location was excellent with beautiful beaches and bay’s all around, the hotel’s transfer down to the local bay made it so easy and accessible to get to. The atmosphere was excellent with opportunities for great entertainment and a chilled vibe at every point of the resort. The staff were excellent and so helpful at every point of our stay. We had both our birthdays at the resort and they went above and beyond to ensure we had special days. We would highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return.
