Caldera Beach

Better than expected – great food, pools and facilities We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel and found it to be better than we expected. The food in the main restaurant was amazing and, in my opinion, easily on par with hotels we have paid considerably more for. The variety was slightly smaller, but what was available was really good quality and there was always plenty to choose from. Snacks however were very basic so we went to the buffet for lunch also. The drinks were OK. The gin and lager were perfectly fine, which suited me, although I wouldn't say the drinks were a particular highlight. One of the biggest highlights for us was the free waterpark included with the all-inclusive stay. We really enjoyed it, and a special mention to the lady working behind the bar there (I think her name was Katerina). She did a fantastic job managing the bar by herself and was always friendly and helpful. We stayed on the Olympos side, which we actually preferred as it was quieter and had its own bar open until 6pm. We stayed in a maisonette apartment, which gave us plenty of space, and the room was cleaned to a very high standard every day. The pools were all great and a great depth variety for children of all ages. We also really liked the play area for younger children at the sister hotel. The bus into Chania was another big plus. It was very easy to use and ran until quite late, making it simple to get into town without needing a car. The beach wasn't really for us, but that's purely personal preference. The sand is quite coarse and dark, so it gets very hot. I'm sure this won't bother everyone. One suggestion for management: the baby lounge could be a really lovely facility, but it needs a little more attention. More toys would make a big difference, and the cot really shouldn't be used as a storage area. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Plenty of facilities, great food, clean and spacious accommodation, and the waterpark was a fantastic bonus. We would definitely consider returning.

We stayed as a couple in September and found everything more than what we expected it was a real delight. Firstly the food is amazing and I mean that every day + night was delicious great service very attentive , we even had grilled octopus one lunch our holiday favourite. our room was a cheaper studio room but it was still nice and the maids done a great job of keeping it tidy. Location wise there isn’t much to do but the bus stops right outside the hotel it’s only 2 euro to get into chania old town recommend the harbour for drinks and food beautiful spot. Atmosphere was great friendly staff and guests lots of family’s enjoying them selves. Drinks are ok typical all inclusive. Beach outside the hotel was lovely well kept by a member of staff who was constantly cleaning used sun beds , clearing rubbish, tidying just making it a lovely alternative to the pool. Ice cream machine that makes whippy ice creams !!! Just a perfect stay thank you

Went three times. So bjutiful athmosphere. Lovely food and the most friendly and professional and sweetest waitres. Lovely. Thank you so much 🙏❤️🍽️🥂
