Creta Palace, A Resort to Live®

We spent a week at this fantastic hotel for my daughter’s wedding which took place on the Skybar. It was amazing! Firstly the hotel. Every single member of staff is so friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. The private beach is beautiful, the quieter pool is wonderful, and the family pool with slides is great. There were always plenty of beds. The look and style of the hotel is stunning. Breakfast was so good, with plenty of choice and the omelettes were delicious. I could go on and on, but we had such a good time. Now the wedding. Where do I start….Aristea worked with my daughter and planned a wonderful wedding and I cannot thank her and the whole team enough. Mr Gialitakis, Markus, Nektarios, Antigoni, Rafaela, Panagiotis, Stavros, Aris and the whole Skybar team were AMAZING!! The food was outstanding. The service was so special and we felt like the team were celebrating with us, they were exceptional. It is hard to put into words how perfect it was. THANK YOU SO MUCH xxxx We will definitely come back to this beautiful hotel.

We booked and paid for 7 nights, after 2 nights we left the property. No one was even interested to know the reason for our early departure, that says more than any further comments.

Spent 2 weeks at this resort with my wife. This resort exceeded all our expectations. The resort,rooms and facilities were in pristine condition. All the staff from housekeeping, bar,restaurants and reception were fantastic. We were particularly impressed with the hotel's manager Mr Dimitrios Tsaklas. From early morning to late in the evenings he was moving around the hotel, the grounds and the beach area checking and overseeing things. He always greeted us and had time for a chat and asked if we needed anything at all. Well done Dimitri. We will hopefully get back to Crete and stay at this hotel again sometime soon.

I could not speak highly enough of our stay at Creta Palace. Our party consisted of myself and my partner and our 3 year old. We were greeted with an amazing welcome including a glass of fizz, a colourful drink for our son and a variety of cakes and fruit. We stayed in a family bungalow with pool and sea view and it was beautiful, the beds were the comfiest ever and looking out into the beautiful beach every morning was just heaven. The hotel was relaxing but also had enough happening to keep our little boy happy - the entry level pool made days by the pool easier and a special shout out to the wonderfully kind and happy team and Grecoland - what a fantastic group of people who made it their mission to ensure the children were all involved in the various activities. The food selection was fantastic - particularly enjoyed the amazing breakfasts (omlettes, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fresh coffee) sat outside in the gorgeous Crete sun every morning. A special memory was the BBQ night with lovely food and Cretan dancing and live music. Thank you for such a brilliant week, we hope to return.

We stayed at Grecotel Creta Palace for our wedding, with around 20 of our wedding guests also staying at the hotel, so we had very high hopes for what was meant to be a particularly special stay. Our experience got off to a fairly disappointing start. Despite having booked a sea-view room, the first room we were given didn't actually have a sea view and was not what we had expected. It didn't even have a double bed setup. Getting this resolved involved quite a lot of back and forth, and it was frustrating that we had to work so hard to get a room that matched what we had booked. We were eventually moved to a lovely renovated room with a proper sea view, which we appreciated, but at that stage we were feeling more relieved than excited about our stay. However, everything changed the day before our wedding when we met Antigoni. Antigoni completely transformed our experience. She went above and beyond to look after us and found us a beautiful villa, which made an enormous difference to the whole wedding experience. It gave me the perfect place to spend the morning of the wedding getting ready with my groomsmen, and, more importantly, it made us feel genuinely looked after and valued by the resort. From that point onwards, our experience was completely different. Antigoni was incredibly thoughtful, attentive and proactive, and her involvement turned what had started as a rather frustrating stay into something we will remember extremely fondly. The villa was gorgeous, the resort itself is beautiful, and having that extra care and attention at such an important time made all the difference. We also really appreciated the lovely gift we received when we left — a thoughtful final touch after what became a very special stay. I think it's important to mention the difficult start because it makes the turnaround all the more remarkable. What could have remained a disappointing experience was completely changed by one person taking ownership and genuinely caring about our experience. A huge thank you to Antigoni for everything she did for us. She made a real difference to our wedding experience, and we are incredibly grateful. We would also like to thank the wider Creta Palace team, and staff in restaurants like Nikos and Tomas for helping make our stay and wedding celebrations so memorable. If you're staying here for a special occasion, I would particularly hope you have someone like Antigoni looking after you — she was exceptional.
