What a wonderful find this hotel turned out to be. We have just returned from a week's break at Elounda Palms and cannot sing it's praises high enough. We knew nothing about the area of Elounda, and chose Elounda Palms almost at random. The hotel itself is relatively small but set in a nicely landscaped area with (as it's name suggests) a lot of palms and other trees in the grounds. Note that it is on a hillside so there can be quite a few steps to negotiate in getting around, but the views across the water are well worth it. The staff are friendly, and the pool area is a lovely oasis of calm. We were upgraded (!) to a Junior Suite on arrival which in itself was a major bonus - a large, comfortable bed, together with a good seating area and the added bonus of a small swimming pool at the back. Although this was East-facing we had a sunrise to view every day and the veranda was in the sun for a lot of the day so the pool was welcome, relatively warm (even in October) and deep enough to swim (short) lengths; I've been very dubious of such features in the past, but this was a true swimming pool unless you want an olympic size one. Breakfast and dinner buffets were plentiful but could be a bit 'samish' after a few days - but not worth knocking a star off as there was always something to suit any palate - whilst there are plentiful restaurants and tavernas in the village which is a medium walk from the hotel. There is a bus service into Agios Nikolaus, but a car is really a requirement for getting around; we hired one at the airport but there seem to be plenty of local car hire companies near the hotel itself. A perfect holiday - we left well relaxed and sorry to leave, but intend to be back next year.

Absolutely delightful family run hotel. Immaculately kept and very stylish. The pool/bar area is a delight, spacious, very comfortable sun loungers and sofa area, delicious cocktails & the food if you want to eat at lunchtime is plentiful & incredibly tasty. The hotel gardens are very pretty too. The staff are all excellent. Friendly & nothing is too much trouble. We were upgraded to a pool suite as it was a ‘big’ birthday celebration which was a lovely touch. The area is excellent. Lovely views of Spinalonga. Walking distance to Elounda, and a short taxi ride to the beautiful Plaka. There’s a lot of very nice hotels in this area competing for tourists business. I would have no hesitation in recommending Elounda Palm if you prefer a smaller boutique hotel with a stylish luxury vibe. We were here at the end of the season so it was not full but still busy enough to have a lovely atmosphere. It’s not adults only, which we would usually choose, but out of season there were only a couple of cute babies around so it still felt very grown up. All in all a beautiful, welcoming, stylish and friendly stay in a gorgeous part of the world.
