Esperides Resort Crete

We have just returned for a 10 night stay at the hotel and could not recommend it enough. Hotel Great layout we felt like the hotel was in its own village. There was two pools each with their own pool bar as well as the pool in the adults only section. There was à la carte restaurant which you get discount off as well as the main restaurant overlooking the sea. If half board you can ask the reception to change your dinner meal to lunch if you prefer. Food was really nice but did get a repetitive. Room service is available with an extra charge of 10 euros, this food was great, so much so we ordered it three times throughout our stay. The hotel is on an incline however there was plenty of lifts around the complex if needed. Download the app to get information on what entertainment was scheduled as well as themed nights at the restaurants. Room We initially had room 412, a suite with inland view and private pool. We got really lucky as our room was one of the more private locations, the room itself wasn’t massive but big enough for what we needed. Half way through the holiday we got a notification through that app that room upgrades were available. We upgraded to a room in the adults only complex of the hotel which had a private pool and lagoon access. The room was a lot more modern and deluxe and the pool was amazing but there are sunbeds directly opposite so other guests can see directly into your room/pool area which we didn’t mind but I thought it was worth noting if you wanted a room with more privacy. Rooms were cleaned daily and the cleanliness couldn’t be faulted - the cleaning team were fantastic. Location Really close to a long strip of bars and restaurants which was enough for us during our stay. The main strip and beach are around a 20 minute walk which was fine on the way there but it is a significant uphill walk to get back which we found difficult at 28 years old so would recommend getting a taxi back to the hotel. The sports bar opposite the hotel is great and very reasonable, the steak was the best we’ve ever had! Staff The staff from the start of the trip to the end are amazing and really make the holiday much more enjoyable. Thanos gave us a great welcome, was really lovely and spoke every time we saw him. When we were waiting for our taxi back to the airport he gave us a bottle a water and brought seats out for us - small things that really make a difference, he’s a credit to the hotel. The restaurant staff are really attentive- Nikos and Adonis were the only two names we had remembered but all staff were really efficient and friendly. Julietta at reception was fantastic, giving us lots of helpful information regarding excursions and answering any queries we had. She also helped us when we upgraded our room half way through the holiday and done everything she could to help us out. Overall we loved this hotel, it is the best one we have visited and we can’t wait to return next year.

I recently stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed my experience. Since I had informed the staff that I follow a gluten-free diet, the chef kindly showed me several suitable food options, which I truly appreciated. The maître d’ was also extremely friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. At first, I wasn’t very happy with the room I was given, but the reservations manager, Eugenia, immediately assisted me and personally escorted me to a beautiful room with a wonderful view. Finally, Mario was always available during my stay and made sure I had everything I needed. His support and attention made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely visit this place again during the summer!

We had a wonderful stay at Esperides Resort Crete. The hotel is very clean and beautifully maintained, with great service and very friendly staff. The rooms were comfortable and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. We would definitely come back again!
