Golden Bay Hotel & Bungalows

If you want a relaxing holiday surrounded by friendly staff and near some lovely tavernas, this is for you. The stars are Joana and Zinon who work at the pool bar. By far and without doubt, the most friendly bar staff, I have ever had the pleasure of being served by. The hotel rooms are spotless and the communal areas are faultless. Breakfast is lovely and fresh, tasty and so relaxed. To summarize, “a bloody brilliant place, staffed by some of the nicest people ever”. Enjoy.

Hotel is beautiful and so peaceful, we have spent such a lovely relaxing week here. Such a beautiful setting just across the road to the sea and a short stroll to the sandy beach The atmosphere here is so friendly, Joanna and Zinon at the pool bar are amazing, they make you feel so welcome and like you’re part of a family, we’re going to miss them - they are a true asset to this hotel! Rooms and all communal spaces are kept immaculate, the cleaning team are brilliant! Gournes is a really laid back, “old Greece” resort, traditional tavernas and really friendly locals and such great value for money! Gouves Animal Shelter is about 20 mins walk and you can go and help walk their dogs on the beach or just sit and cuddle the puppies and cats! An amazing charity and well worth a visit, we went back a few times! Overall, a really lovely hotel, beautiful peaceful location and still feels like old Greece

Just back from a 3 week holiday in this really lovely hotel. All the staff are very hard working, the rooms are immaculate as is the rest of the hotel. The staff cannot do enough for you, always very helpful. Breakfast was always very fresh and lots of variety. Its a peaceful part of the island with about 4 Taverners near by, all serving lovely food. One of our favourites was In and Out. We will deffentley be returning to Golden bay apartments.

What a wonderful hotel with friendly helpful staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. A big shout out to the lovely Joanna and Zinon. I am a solo female traveller and felt so safe in this area and accommodation. It is a quiet area but I am a walker so no problem to travel to neighbouring areas for restaurants along the beautiful coastlines and enjoy the wonderful Greek cuisine. This hotel is so clean, I even lost an earring under the bed and noticed even under the beds were dust free. The bar staff use tongs etc to make drinks is, all straws are covered, so hygienic. The breakfast is wonderful, I don’t like greasy British food and was not disappointed with the addition of some lovely Greek food. The staff pride themselves in good food and drinks and that’s definitely what you get here! I hope to return again. Thank you all for making my break special.
