Golden Beach Hersonissos

Location was good, but the beach is minute and you put your life at risk trying to get in and out of this section of the beach, treacherous. Hotel reception is beautiful, but the rest of the hotel is tired and desperately in need of an upgrade. Shower cubicles are so small that you have to soap your legs before getting into the shower. Absolutely no storage space in bathroom even to set your toothbrush down. Balcony was never used due to the small size and the large air con unit located there as you were at risk of burning your legs. Breakfast was edible but the food for dinner was horrendous, we only ate here 3 nights out of 10, and those 3 nights we ate French fries and fruit. To keep room on for a late checkout was 90€. Extortionate price. We were provided a room to shower before leaving as we had a late flight time, this had a shower that the door did not close properly, the shelf in the shower kept falling off due to bumping into it due to size of cubicle. Don’t waste your money here. A 2 star hotel at best.

First impressions were good. We only ate breakfast so cannot comment on the evening meal. We asked at reception one evening to buy a bottle of water to be told no this was not possible. The gentleman behind reception was mee.to is and quite honestly rather ride and hostile. We were very disappointed to not access to a basic necessity. Would not return to this hotel. Absolutely not a 4 star, very basic.

I read reviews before going and can only say I was pleased to see it was fine. We had rom 302 on first floor with part side sea view. I would not have liked an inside view. room was small as others have said but perfectly adequate toilet and shower was small as others have said but perfectly acceptable shower was a cubical much better than a curtain.The only grip I had was having to buy mugs to replace paper cups. staff friendly throughout.Pool I had no trouble finding a sun bed.as for food restaurant was very good not to bizzy and good choice hotel is in a good location for shopping and restaurants close to beach also. I would defiantly use this hotel again.

We stayed here in June 2026 (14-22nd), a gorgeous hotel, the fresh modern look is nice to walk into the lobby area. The rooms were clean, and they were cleaned every day, including fresh towels. The food was okay, purely saying this cos I am gluten free so there wasn’t many options for me, but I made do and ate what I could. The location was really good, you’re in the middle of Hersonissos so there is plenty of shops, restaurants close by. You are also on the beach front, from the side door of the hotel it is about a minute walk. The pool is smaller than expected, however it didn’t bother me as we didn’t really go up during the day as we did other things.

Second time been to golden Beach. Won't be back again. Only thing going for it is roof top pool. Food wasn't good had to go out a few times else where for a meal. Drinks expspenive. Safes had gone up in price also sunbeds on beach 25 euros for a pair which is expspenive if a way for week. Room given this time smaller and not as good as last time no were to hang clothes and not able to sit comfortably on balcony. Also bathroom more run down last time had a better shower. Won't be back again will still elsewhere next time!
