Plaza beach is a great family holiday it is a quiet place with not too many people. All of the people who work there are lovely and welcoming and there is lots of nice places to eat nearby, we particularly liked Irini and Vatania, there is also a handy shop next door. The atmosphere is beautiful. Rooms are traditional in style but we liked the split level arrangement and overall feel. Pools aren’t huge but fit with the feel of the place and we had lots of fun in them and also on the beach. Short taxi ride to the old town, we enjoyed being slightly further away as it is very busy.

Beautiful hotel, very nice and helpful staff. Beautiful views from our balcony. Breakfast kind of limited in options in our opinion but good! Only ate one night at the hotel when it was a bbq night which was very cozy and tasted great! Ps, try the drinks that Mikael (if I remember his name correctly) makes in the bar 10/10 Disaronno sour is a hot tip 😂

We’ve had a wonderful first stay at GrecoHotel Plaza Beach House. It’s a lovely, cute city hotel with a really welcoming atmosphere and, above all, fantastic staff. Maria in particular has been nothing but helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. The breakfast team and reception staff have also been incredibly attentive and friendly, always making sure we had everything we needed. We arrived late in the evening and were very pleasantly surprised to be shown to our upgraded room overlooking the beachfront. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and having a kitchen in the apartment is a real bonus — particularly for those evenings when the kids just want a simple pasta or pizza! The beachfront is lovely. There are some rocks and pebbles, but nothing to worry about, and the sea can get quite wavy. During our stay, there were lifeguards on duty, which was reassuring. There are three pools at the hotel, although they are smaller than you might find at a large resort. It’s worth remembering that this is more of a city hotel, rather than a huge all-inclusive-style resort. That said, there are still plenty of options for the kids to enjoy. We stayed on a bed-and-breakfast basis, and breakfast was superb. There was a great choice and everything we tried was delicious. We’d definitely recommend hiring a car if you’re staying here. Crete has so many beautiful beaches to explore, and having a car makes it easy to discover different parts of the island and try some of the fantastic local food options. A big thank you to everyone at GrecoHotel Plaza Beach House for making our first stay on the island such a welcoming and enjoyable one. We’ve had a fantastic time and would happily return.
