Ida Village I & II

The rooms are lovely got everything you need , the girls in the bars are so friendly . We was right at the top of the village and the hill is not good at all, there’s a very busy dangerous road at the bottom of the hill which made us to get a taxi home every night for our safety ,

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Ida Village where the manager and staff were very welcoming! Was upgraded to a different apartment than booked with amazing views. Would totally recommend but not for those with walking/mobility issues as situated on a steep hill. Thank you for our wonderful stay!

Lovely peaceful and family friendly village like hotel, located by the lower part of the mountain, just besides a bus stop and the main street and Star beach and plenty of activities, restaurants and supermarkets. We traveled as a group of women only and felt very welcome and safe there the whole stay. The room had 2 separate beds in the living area, a bedroom with a big double bed, a small kitchen with supplies; dishes and dishmedicine and a sponge, fridge, filter coffee maker, kettle and an induction stove and a .icrowave. Bathroom had shampoo and shower gel bottles and a hair dryer. They changed the towels and sheets every 2 days. Air conditioner was 6e/day and worked well. There was a laundry rack outside on the terrace. In the bedroom and in the living area both there was a mirror and a makeup table with shelves for all the cosmetics, a dinner table for 4 in the living area and on the terrace. The restaurant had a good variety of drinks and foods although I mostly bought coffee, milkshakes and lemonade/moctails from there. The staff were amazingly helpful and spoke good english. Poolside always had space because there were 3 pools. I had no problem whatsoever as a hijabi and wearing a burkhini while swimming, everyone was friendly towards us. There were 2 little kittens that lived in the hotel yard and were cute and friendly and we fed them sometimes. There was a small gym that I didn't try. But the best part was the spa, Julia made me a very lovely full body scrub, deep tissue massage and a body wrap with Cretan natural olive oil based skincare products. My skin has never felt that good and it was the best relaxing experience of my week as a mom of 4 getting her relaxing vacation without kids. She was friendly and very professional and honestly made the experience amazing. I highly recommend the spa services. The hotel was clean and nice all over. We paid tax 14e for a week. They also had place where to lock suitcases while waiting without your room if you arrive before check-in or leave after check-out. The live music Monday evening was also lovely and we learned some Greek dance with the lovely staff! I'm sure my kids would have loved this hotel too and I honestly think about returning with them 😍 Thank you Ida Village you made our stay unforgettable!

We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights in August 2026. We stayed in room 129. It was a fabulous 10 night holiday. The hotel is quiet and low key but clean with exceptional service. Our room was close enough to the main pool to nip back for bits and pieces through the day, but far enough we weren’t disturbed by noise. The room was on two levels which my 12 year old daughter loved as it felt like we had a 2 bedroom apartment. The air con was a little noisy which affected my son more than anyone else. All other room facilities were fine for self catering. The rooms were cleaned every other day to a good standard. I do love not having to tidy and clean up on holiday (my only chance not to!) so cleaning every day would be the dream but we knew this before booking. The staff were so lovely and the food from the restaurant was really nice. We mainly ate lunch and went out for dinner. Prices weren’t extortionate either. We went into koutouloufari lots which is a beautiful village nearby and into old hersonissos which was a taxi ride away. Sofas, blue moon and nikos the fishermen restaurants were our favourites. In the evenings after eating, the hotel was quiet so we took to playing cards and board games which was lovely and a nice change from screens!! The hotel is not far from star beach so plenty to do around you, I’d also recommend the aqua park, the beaches were small so we didn’t spend much time there but the water was warm and crystal clear. The pool was lovely, we mainly stayed around the main pool, never a problem to get sun loungers, on one occasion we found loungers but not in a good spot so the reception staff had them moved for us. The hotel is a little towards the hills so I got bitten a few times, won’t be the case for everyone I realise by for those who the mozzies feast on bear this in mind! The only thing that I didn’t use and usually do on holiday was the terrace, we didn’t have a balcony and the terrace was a bit small and not private as it was off the path to the pool. It would have been nice to have had a quiet drink on a balcony or a morning tea but again, no significant issue, unless you love a balcony! I’m sure the hotel would have moved us had we asked. There were very few hangers in the wardrobe so on asking we were provided with more. I had emailed the hotel in advance as we didn’t get there until nearly midnight so I asked if they would set up the sofa beds and explained that I had been having back issues so the hotel kindly did this and provided a memory foam topper to make sleep more comfortable which was lovely. They also provided us with bottled water free of charge given our arrival was so late which was another nice gesture. I used the spa for a massage which was a real treat, the staff offer demonstrations round the pool which of course I signed up to! Really enjoyed our stay. I’d recommend the hotel without doubt. We are returning to Greece next year although a different island but instantly fell in love with the country.
