Ida Village I & II

Spent 2 weeks here in September. Our apartment was lovely, very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. All the staff where extremely friendly and helpful. Food at the pool bar served until around 10pm and of very good quality. Also excellent range of coffees and soft drinks, as well as alcohol. Main pool quite small but very nice. Some apartments are maisonette which aren't suitable for anyone with mobility issues which one of our party has. We where given a maisonette at first - though not through the fault of Ida Village. This was down to the travel agent who hadn't made our requirements clear. We were moved next morning to a suitable apartment which we were very happy with. Staff were amazing. Close to a few eateries including the Avra restaurant and a big well stocked supermarket. Within walking distance to town and beach for those without mobility problems there is a busy road to cross to beach but traffic will stop to allow you across. Taxis to nearby old towns etc very reasonable. Wish I was still there!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartments are nicely spread out across the hillside, which gives the place a lovely, relaxed feel and nice view over the hill and sea. There are three small pools, and they were never too crowded, so it was easy to find a quiet spot to unwind. Our apartment was a good size and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed having facilities like tennis, table tennis and a pool table available. The restaurant on site was nice, and it was great being just a short walk from other restaurants and shops as well. Overall, we had a lovely time and would happily come back.

2 bed , one level apartment, strange set up, no communal area within apartment. place can't decide what it wants to be, part hotel or self catering. Inadequate facilities for self catering, given a coffee perculator but no toaster???? Cleaning services every other day, but not one day was the floor mopped,nor toilet wiped and we're asking reception at 2am for bedding( none left from housekeeping on bedding change) 2 bed apartment, x2 tvs, x2 air con units, yet one remote for each?????? Was told aw guests usually lose them or take them home??????? No additional controls offered!!! I've paid for that aircon, don't want to flitting between 2 rooms in middle of the night Buffet breakfast ( included in holiday price) is not worth getting up for, any later than 9.30am ,and items aren't replaced, the quality is awful, processed eggs ??? After 10am you can buy sed breakfast, breakfast sandwich, uses decent bacon, yet bacon and scrambled eggs bought ,reverts back to the creten bacon / processed eggs which your offered at buffet breakfast.???? You want ya bought coffee topped up with hot water, they charge you for an additional coffee. The paid for meals are on he whole really good. The morning staff at the bar are wonderful in everyway, they're a credit to the place . Pools are small , bottom pool tends to be quieter, there's plenty sun beds on the whole but we have the obligatory reserving sun beds before dawn, but it's decent enough. Yes the complex is up a hill , but it's a short walk . Old heronissos is wonderful, as is koutouloufari,12 euro old herronossis,10 euro for koutouloufari( reception will organise taxi. Latter is walkable, but can be a bit of a strain for mobility issues. Beach...don't bother it's not a straightforward walk , and it's not the best to be fair. Better beaches are outside of town. ( All beaches within the area are not private, they're owned by the municipal, but sun beds are chargeable with a huge variation in price) They have traditional Greek singers on a Monday , other than that ,it's make your own entertainment Heronissos town is only mins away on the bus ,2.20 euro , bus stop at bottom of the hill, across the rd. Would I stay here again, no...as said previously, it doesn't know what it wants to be, and I don't appreciate double standards that I'm paying for.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Ida Village in Hersonissos and, for the price we paid, the apartments were excellent. The apartments were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Air conditioning is an additional charge, but it worked very well and was definitely worth having. The location is up a fairly steep hill, which is worth being aware of, but you’re still close to some of the best areas around Hersonissos. Taxis are frequent and short journeys make getting around really easy. The food at the hotel was a particular surprise. We expected decent hotel food, but the quality was genuinely restaurant quality and we really enjoyed eating there. But what really makes this place is the staff. They are genuinely some of the friendliest and most pleasant hotel staff we’ve ever encountered. Everyone seemed so happy and welcoming, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. They even brought complimentary drinks over to us while we were around the pool, which was a lovely gesture. On our final night we were given free drinks again, which was a really nice way to finish the holiday. On our first night, the bartender even brought our drinks up to our room — that level of service really stood out. There is also an iron and ironing board available, which is a useful little touch. The pool is quite small and, to be honest, we didn’t really use it, but that wasn’t a problem for us as there is so much to do nearby. I’d definitely recommend taking a short taxi ride into Hersonissos Old Town and to Koutouloufari. Both are brilliant for Greek food, with loads of great restaurants and a much more traditional atmosphere. Overall, Ida Village offers excellent value for money, great food and absolutely outstanding staff. The staff in particular deserve a huge amount of credit for making us feel so welcome. We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.

Really liked this place, from the initial welcome to leaving everything was done well. Rooms were cleaned and towels/sheets changed every 2 days. Bed was comfortable and shower good. Beaches and restaurants are 5-10 minutes walk, there is a slight slope but nothing too onerous. Bar area was very good, we ate there on first night as we arrived quite late and food was good. Bar staff friendly and was a great place to stop for a nightcap
