Ikaros Beach Resort & Spa

What a magnificent job they did to build this fabulous resort n a most amazing location! Traveling solo, can sometimes make you feel invisible, but I want to single out an experience at an Ikaros restaurant, Olive, that was terrific. Find the section worked by Maria. She was attentive, thoughtful, and made me feel taken care of. A great meal and experience! Jeff

We have just had a wonderful week at this hotel. The staff were friendly and always very welcoming. Katerina who cleaned our room daily was especially happy. The food was plentiful and there was a very good and varied choice. Staff in the main restaurant were attentive and always keen to please. Unfortunately we arrived the day after a major sandstorm so the pools had to be cleaned over the next couple of days and only became fully available on our last day. However, the indoor pool and spa were available if we had wanted a swim. This space was lovely and again the staff here were very welcoming. An initial hiccup with our room was dealt with by the hotel management very quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Overall a wonderful stay.

This was our first visit to Crete and we very much enjoyed our stay at Ikaros Beach. We were on an all inclusive basis. The setting is lovely, with beach, sea and mountain views. The hotel has lots of natural stone and is laid out with lots of walkways and lovely gardens. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The pool areas are very nice, plenty of beds for the number of guests when we were there. Part of the beach is also reserved for hotel guests. The main restaurant is Olive, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a wide choice at all meals and the food is good. There were also three a la carte restaurants open when we were there and we ate in all three. We really enjoyed all of our meals, they are worth a visit. There is always room for improvement, there were times when we struggled to get service in Olive and in the bars. This is probably down to staffing at the start of the season but it would have been a bigger issue if it had been busier. We had a sea view room. It wasn't huge but it was well appointed and looked quite recently refurbished. The bed was very comfortable. For our first few days, the weather was mixed so we used the indoor pool, the sauna and the gym. We also had two massages at the spa which were most enjoyable. The staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive, if very busy at times. A special shout out to Bodhan who often looked after us in Olive, and Mikalis who served us drinks with a smile in both bars. Overall we had a lovely time at Ikaros Beach and would recommend it.

Family of six adults here now ( April 2026) enjoying the sun which is really quite hot to say it’s April! Unfortunately you cannot cool off in any of the three outdoor pools as two are empty and one is that cold it makes your limbs sting after 3mins! The food is bang average and the service is shocking! One waiter in each bar through the day and if you not taking your drink away you can’t order at the bar! You have to sit down and wait for your order to be taken, usually between 5-10 mins! Then await the drinks to made and brought back which can take anywhere from 5mins to 15mins! As a party of six you would expect to be able to sit and eat together but every time we have gone in the main restaurant there are three women ( who do what I have no idea) who look at us in disbelief and say “there are six of you? We are very busy and you will have to wait” on which your made to sit back in the que of couples and threesomes awaiting to be led away to a table in the half full dining room! The location was a brilliant but the experience is of something you would expect from a 3 star hotel in Bosnia!

Literally came back yesterday. Honestly the most beautiful and friendlist hotel i have ever been to. We had room 405 lovely. Had everything we needed. We arrived late in the evening not expecting to be able to eat anything but the restaurant had left us a meal with bread and fruit plate. So kind and attentive. The pools were amazing. We made some wonderful German friends. My husband had 3 treatments in the spa, i had a lovely facial on friday. Wendy and Katerina were amazing ( now facebook friends) We will be back thats for sure, we didn't even go off site we were too happy wandering around, although i will miss my cat i called Bobbin. It was hard to say goodbye yesterday. Always on the wall outside the main buffet restaurant and the bar outside with a bent ear. Will see you all again. Have a great rest, roll on 2026!!
