Knossos Beach Bungalows Suites Resort & Spa

The feature that makes Knossos Beach special is its focus on the individual holiday maker. There is a lovely atmosphere where the staff do everything to make the holiday experience one to remember. You can tell that the whole organisation is expertly led and everyone on the team goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. This is evident, as many staff who we first encountered when we first came here a few years ago, are still part of the hotel hospitality team. A big thank you to all of them ! The gym has been upgraded recently and its facilities offer everything a holiday maker would need, aerobic trainers, free weights etc. Its opening hours have also been extended.. The hotel and bungalows sit on a private beach which has crystal clear water . There are also 2 sheltered pools . The landscaping is outstanding and always beautifully maintained . You really do feel like you are staying in a local cretan village . We have thoroughly enjoyed the food here . The chef uses the freshest local ingredients . As I am coeliac everyone took special care to ensure I had lots of gluten free options . This is a very unique hotel which we will always be drawn back to.

The whole experience of staying at this hotel was 5* from start to finish. Everything from the rooms, food, location and especially the wonderful staff was perfect. We booked the Seafront Island Suite, where I was pleasantly surprised to find that we had our own extensive patio area big enough for a table, chairs, two loungers and an umbrella with a stunning view. The bathroom compromised of a large bath, two sinks and a walk in shower, the toilet was in a seperate area. There was a large wardrobe, and the bed was situated opposite the patio doors giving a lovely view to wake up too. There was also a sofa and small table to use. We would lay on the loungers on our patio area until around 1pm, and then head down to the beach. There was always a large amount of loungers available, and the day beds had room numbers on them so those without an outside seating area would be guaranteed their own bed. Each set of beds had an umbrella with a call button if you didn't want to use the app to order food or drink at the beach. I am an amputee and wear a prosthetic leg, this can sometimes cause issues when I am on holidays. There was nothing that caused me any problems whatsoever at this hotel. The beach had wooden paths leading to the lomgers on the beach, there were very slight inclines throughout the hotel to different areas making it easy to get around. Wherever possible they would have ramps next to any steps, not that there were many. It has been one of only a small amount of hotels where i have felt safe walking alone with out the arm of my husband. The food was not extensive, but enough variety and always of excellent quality. They also had an extensive wine list which was at a reasonable cost. I know that people have mentioned the planes passing, which is true. But I can assure you that after a day or so you honestly don't notice them. It certainly didn't spoil our holiday. We booked a day trip to Santorini through the hotel, which included being picked up by a bus, ferry crossing and bus tour of the island whith a very knowlegeable guide. I would definitely recommend taking a day out of your holiday to book this. I would not hesitate to recomend this hotel to anyone, even those with walking difficulties as you would not be dissapointed. I would like to especially thank Elina at guest relations would made sure that any querie or request was addressed straight away. This is most certainly a little slice of heaven, and we will be returning.

An Unforgettable Luxury Experience – Absolute Perfection! Our stay at Knossos Beach was truly exceptional and exceeded all our expectations! The resort is set in a breathtakingly beautiful environment, offering the perfect combination of luxury, elegance, and relaxation. Our room was beautiful, spacious, extremely comfortable, and impeccably maintained. The service was outstanding. Every member of the staff was incredibly polite, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. We felt truly special throughout our entire stay. The culinary experience deserves particular praise! The food was absolutely exquisite, with beautifully presented dishes and flavours worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. Every dinner was a memorable gastronomic experience. The breakfast buffet was equally impressive, offering an exceptional variety of fresh, delicious, high-quality options. The private beach is absolutely wonderful, the swimming pool is beautiful, and the elegant wellness facilities provide the perfect setting for complete relaxation. Every detail of this resort reflects exceptional quality, sophistication, and genuine hospitality. We celebrated our engagement during this holiday, making our stay even more special and unforgettable. Without hesitation, we would give Knossos Beach five stars and our highest recommendation. We cannot wait to return! Thank you to the entire team for making our holiday such a wonderful experience!

So firstly the staff at this resort are wonderful , nothing is too much trouble a real credit to tbe management team . The room, a sea view suite was very nice and waking up to the sound of the waves was lovely . We went all inclusive and if im honest i am not a big fan however this is the first hotel where it was really good . As its a small ish resort it was never over crowded and the food itself was exceptional , always something and different selections every night. The planes ! well we were unsure after reading other reviews but to be honest after the first night you hear them but dont register them. In fact you can tell who is new as they look up , everyone else ignores them . They are not an issue . Entertainment is very low key do not stay here if you want a lively place . The two towns close by both 30 euros in a taxi are more holiday based and we visited each for a few hours to break things up . So to round this off, if you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday with excellent food and great staff this is the place . We had a great holiday thanks to the team there .

Knossos Beach gave us the feeling of having our own little Santorini in Crete — with beautiful scenery, countless picturesque spots, and far fewer crowds. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone, especially people who enjoy taking beautiful photos. Location The location is excellent. The hotel is very close to the airport, so it was the quickest transfer to a hotel we have ever had. You will see planes flying overhead quite frequently, sometimes every minute. This was not a problem for us at all — we actually enjoyed it and even took photos with the planes in the sky. If you are sensitive to aircraft noise, it is worth keeping in mind, but for us it added to the experience rather than taking away from it. Beach and amenities The beach is wonderful, with clear water and a pleasant seabed for swimming. One of our favourite things was that there were always free sunbeds, both on the beach and by the pool. Unlike many other hotels, you do not have to wake up at 6 a.m. to reserve one — and still risk finding nothing available. The food was also excellent. There was a little bit of everything, and everything we tried tasted great. The only danger is that you may return home having gained a few kilos — but it will be worth it! We also had the opportunity to visit both of the hotel’s à la carte restaurants for free. We especially loved the Greek and Asian fusion restaurant and highly recommend it. The location was absolutely stunning, and the service was top-notch too. There were also great fast-food options during the day, including pizza, burgers, and more. They would even pack the food as proper takeaway, so you could bring it back to your room — a very convenient touch. The only slightly odd thing was that, despite all the great food, there were no gyros! Atmosphere and service The atmosphere was amazing: beautiful, relaxed, and welcoming. The service was friendly and helpful without ever feeling excessive. The staff gave us enough space to relax, while still being available whenever we needed something. We interacted most often with a red-haired bartender at the pool bar near our room. Unfortunately, we did not catch her name, but she was always kind, friendly, and helpful. Rooms Our room was huge, and the balcony was enormous — a real highlight. The design is not the newest, but the room was clean, well maintained, and in great condition. We had no complaints at all. Cleanliness and noise level Everything was clean throughout the hotel. The noise level was also very good. The only small issue was a door in our room that made some noise when it was windy, but it was not a major problem and did not affect our stay. Value For us, the hotel offered excellent value. You get beautiful surroundings, a lovely beach, great food, plenty of space, friendly service, and an atmosphere that feels much more exclusive and peaceful than many crowded destinations. We loved Knossos Beach and would recommend it without hesitation <3 It feels like a private, more relaxed version of Santorini — but in Crete, with easier access and fewer crowds. There are a million beautiful photo opportunities around the hotel, so it is especially perfect for influencers, photographers, or anyone who loves taking beautiful pictures. We would definitely come back!
