We booked several treatments at the spa during our stay, and overall the experience was exceptional. The entire team is incredibly kind, attentive and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere is beautifully calm and relaxing – exactly what you want from a spa. A special highlight was my Hydration Facial with Martina. It was a phenomenal experience. Her calm manner, attention to detail and technique were outstanding, and the entire treatment felt incredibly gentle and soothing on the skin. The products she used felt wonderful, and my skin looked and felt amazing afterwards. Martina made the whole experience feel truly special. Definitely one of the best facial treatments I’ve had. Five stars and an absolute recommendation.

Hotel Review Lyttos Mare, Crete, Greece Stay in September 2026 Location The hotel's location is excellent for travelers looking for a relaxing vacation without needing to leave the resort. The beach is just steps away, and all essential amenities are available on-site, including a small convenience store within walking distance. However, if you are interested in shopping, exploring local markets, or buying authentic local products, you will need to travel to Heraklion, which is approximately 35 minutes away. A taxi costs around €50 each way, so renting a car may be worth considering. Atmosphere The atmosphere throughout the hotel is outstanding. The property is clean, quiet, and well maintained, creating a truly relaxing environment. There is no loud music or excessive noise, and since the hotel caters primarily to adults, it offers exactly what many guests are looking for: peace, tranquility, and a chance to unwind. Rooms The rooms are comfortable and very clean, although they are not particularly spacious. Family rooms include a partition between the parents' and children's areas, but when the partition is closed, access to the bathroom remains on the children's side, which may not be the most practical layout. The wardrobe design is also somewhat limited and not especially functional for storing clothes. Housekeeping standards were excellent throughout our stay. Our room overlooked the back of the hotel, which was slightly disappointing, but I chose not to pay extra for a different view. The TV channel selection was also quite limited. Value Considering the price paid, I believe the hotel offers fair value for money. Most services expected from an all-inclusive resort are included, while optional extras such as the spa are reasonably priced for a hotel of this category. Cleanliness Cleanliness is one of the hotel's strongest points. The entire property is maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Whether it is the restaurants, elevators, public restrooms, pool areas, or walkways, everything is spotless. Staff members are constantly cleaning and maintaining the facilities, and their attention to detail is impressive. Service The service level is simply exceptional and stands out even among other high-end resorts. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and eager to help. No request ever felt like an inconvenience. Whether it was clearing tables, providing assistance, or answering questions, the team consistently delivered service with a smile. This was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our stay. Food & Dining The hotel offers an impressive variety of dining options, with three buffet restaurants and one specialty restaurant. There is certainly no shortage of choice, and guests can find a wide selection of dishes throughout the day. However, while the variety was excellent, the overall taste and quality of many of the dishes did not fully meet my expectations. Some meals were enjoyable, but a significant portion of the food felt rather average and lacked the flavor you would expect from a resort of this level. Improving the consistency and quality of the food would greatly enhance the overall dining experience. Overall Review Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at Lyttos Mare. The hotel excels in cleanliness, service, and creating a peaceful atmosphere for guests looking to relax. Small details, such as the excellent mobile app, added value to the experience by providing useful information about activities, entertainment schedules, and hotel services. WiFi coverage was reliable throughout most of the resort. There are areas that could be improved, particularly the overall food quality and the need to refresh some of the entertainment offerings. Nevertheless, the outstanding service, exceptional cleanliness, and relaxing atmosphere make this a hotel I would happily recommend to couples and adults seeking a quiet and comfortable vacation in Crete.
