Mary Royal Suites

We stayed for 10 days in August and can honestly say it was the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in, staff were absolutely amazing, they couldn’t do enough for us and the rooms outstanding. With the beach just to the left of the hotel and the main stretch to the right with many wonderful restaurants we couldn’t ask for anything more. We will definitely be back!

We chose the Mary Hotel and Mary Royal Suires due to its location and the positive reviews, it did not disappoint at all - the staff are really helpful and welcoming, the rooms modern, clean and comfortable- best showers I’ve had in a hotel room from memory. The rooms cleaned everyday - staff working very hard to present the hotel at its very best. We were self catering but paid for breakfast two mornings as it looked so good - 15euros each - it was worth it. Thank you for a lovely relaxing holiday xx

Absolutely perfect place. Staff were SO helpful and friendly and always ready to assist. We were are two ladies, friends who regularly go on holiday together. This experience was the best value so far. From the short stroll up the road to the recommended restaurants, to the short stroll down the road to the fabulous beach and beach loungers (just €10 for 2 beds, parasol, chair and table) right next to the ocean for the day. Lovely beach cafe’s and so quiet at night. Apartment was spotless and well equipped. Highly recommend!

In a great location with a 2 minute walk to the beach in one direction and to shops, bars and restaurants in the other. Rooms spacious, comfortable and very clean with great bathroom! Beds extremely comfy and air con works great! Both pools also very clean, peaceful and had enough sun-beds. Breakfast was delicious and had more than enough choice! Cakes and greek yoghurt were my fave and options changed daily! All staff were so welcoming, helpful and friendly! Always smiling and checking everything was okay etc! We went into Rethymno most nights and the lovely ladies on reception happily called us a taxi Special mention to Mary who waved us off gave us all a hug as we left🥰 We even had a bottle of homemade olive oil left outside our room on the last day! Thank you for a great stay!

Ten out of ten for our stay at Mary Hotel! Everything was perfect from the lovely room, with a queen sized bed and a balcony overlooking the pool, fantastic room servicing on a daily basis from the delightful, friendly cleaning staff, two fantastic pools to choose from with plenty of sun loungers regularly available, and a lovely air-conditioned lounge where we could catch our favourite football team! The staff were always helpful and super friendly and we were made to feel so welcome. The hotel is perfectly situated in the village of Platanias. It is a minute’s walk from the main strip where you can find a multitude of restaurants, souvenir shops and a couple of good supermarkets, or three minutes in the other direction and you are at the beach. Despite its proximity to the action, the resort itself is extremely quiet. When you fancy, you can hop on a number 20 bus to Rethymno and spend time exploring the delightful old town. If I had one tiny niggle it would be that the gym doesn’t have a rowing machine, which my husband had hoped to use. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would recommend it wholeheartedly to everyone.
